GENE'S FOREIGN CAR SVC & PARTS

Each time we use Gene's it has been a great experience. They're honest. The work gets done when they say it will. Scheduling appointments has been easy, but we try to book a few days to a week ahead when possible because they can get busy and we need to coordinate drop off & pick up and being down to one car for a day.

He saved my car.  I took it to a dealer and they said it needed a new engine.  It was going to cost $10,000.  This dealer told me that they use this guy and he literally fixed the car for less than $700.  I've been to him a couple times since then.  He literally saved me from getting a new car.  It's run like a top since then.  The dealer said it was all problems internally with the engine, but it wasn't.  This wasn't a small job to fix because he did have to remove the engine to fix it.

This guy is great.  Unfortunately he only works on foreign cars.  So if you have one of those, it's great.  He's so good.  He's so good in fact that I would only consider buying a VW, Audi or Honda just so that I can take it to him.  This time it had some sort of clicking and he fixed it.  I was in and out in no time. He fixed and no problem since. Every time I've gone there, it's been a great experience.  You feel like he's being very, very fair as far as the price.  I would give him an A+.

I've been going to Gene's for years for inspections and repairs, and have always found them to be fair and honest. Cars and car repairs are not my area of expertise but their prices seem reasonable and they explain any issues they find very well. The works is usually completed quickly and I can drop off my car and pick it up the same day.

No better place to take your car

They deal mainly with foreign cars, and are very honest, excellent and competent.

This was a two day repair job, which they mentioned ahead of time. They had been monitoring the situation for a number of months, and knowing my financial situation put off the job as long as they could safely do so. They estimated at least 750, and I gave myself a cushion of another 50, more due to uneasiness off what else my car my need, then them not being within budget. Thus, I was happy when the final total cost was $786. Having to take an additional day is not the norm for Gene's Foreign Car Service and Parts, as they do their best to accommodate their customers and get the repair done on the same day. Having been with them for as long as I have been driving, I trust them to do a good job on the car, and only do the work that is needed, and letting me know of future work that needs to be done down the road, and work that needs to be scheduled at the next earliest opportunity. The only drawback with Gene's is that they only deal with VW's, Hondas, Passat's and Audie's, and that I'm no longer located as close to them as I used to.

I have been using their service for 12 years now since my warranty expired. They were amazing. When I got an estimate from the Exxon Station around the corner for me and it was $500 estimate and then these guys. I mean they put my car up on a list and everything. They really checked it out. When I went there they told me they could fix it right away if I wanted to wait. I had to wait maybe probably an hour but they took my car on the list, made the part fit, everything worked and I'd never had a problem with that part again and it's only for $25. I couldn't believe it. They have been servicing my car all along so they knew all the things what's wrong with it.
