Project took longer than intially stated because project expanded, but also because the men would leave to go to "emergency work" and not return for couple days at a time - sometimes till the next week.  Not very responsive via phone - would call and get no reply at all from the boss.    Occasionally, he would have the worker return my call.

When drainage from kitchen sink was being replaced, I asked to have garbage disposal replaced with BETTER than what I had since what I had was not working.   It was a good name - #3 in the line of garbage disposals out of  #5  (#5 being the best) - he replaced it with a #1 in the same line.    I had to have him come back and replace that with a higher level of garbage disposer.

When the lines to the toilet on the 2nd floor needed to be replaced, I required a new toilet.  I requested a "TOTO" brand that was also a higher toilet due to my recent hip surgery.     His comments to me were      "I never heard of a Toto toilet"   .....then..... "I will get you something better".        Toto toilets are HIGH quality - use less water and flush like a vortex.    He put in a basic piece of crap that has already clogged  6 times, and was not as high from the floor as I would have liked.    He clearly did not do ANY research into what I asked for.   

He did not tell me that I would not be able to replace the knobs on the shower fixtures - I ended up having another plumber redo the water lines behind the wall to the shower so I could have new shower fixtures since my entire bathroom ended up being redone.   He never asked me what type or finish I wanted for the sink fixtures - he just bought one and brought it over - very basic - not what I would have bought - ended up having another plumber getting a new one.  

I also had to call him back to clean up debris left in the basement.   The worker who put in the waste pipe used a long piece of wood to support the pipe at a level where he needed it.   He never cut off the excess wood.   One of the workers that followed him walked right into the piece of wood sticking out.

This was a sub for our project they seemed to lack knowledge. They didn't know to help the drain problem, so they wanted to break a piece of the stopper to create more room for the water to flow. They put the pipes in.
