"Having been in business for over 63 years now, we have seen an array of challenges. Many issues are a result of a homeowner hiring a contractor that didn't understand how to remedy a situation nor how to properly estimate the costs involved for a proper job. We are professionals and can guarantee our work, but unfortunately can not guarantee a customer is going to like the quoted price of quality. Further, we can not guarantee you'll like our honest opinion of how to fix your issues. Sometimes (most of the time) we are right. Sometimes we're wrong. Right or wrong, this customer was not going to be pleased at whatever the solution we recommended. Thankfully, we didn’t cause the problems. It's a good thing we didn't charge for the phone calls and our time to give a free estimate and our professional opinion....He would have really been upset."
He was very professional and left the area as he found it. Hauled out all the out material. Very pleased with them. I will consider using them again when we get new siding on our house.
I owe S & S Remodeling Contractors an apology at the tardiness of this review, I thought I had done this a long time ago.

"Having been in business for over 60 years now, we've seen every possible scenario and do the best to give accurate estimates. Estimates are no charge. It certainly is not in our best interest to bid a job too high since doing so would only insure we don't get the job. We insure quality workmanship and products for a fair price. We can not insure we will be the least expensive. We wish this member luck with the project and hope it turns out what they expect it to at 60% less than our quote."

has been in the Brookhaven/Middletown/Media area since the 50's. While
they are not the cheapest, they ARE very, very professional and
reliable. They do fabulous work. Since the roof, we've had them do
doors and windows and our experience has been A+ every time. Again, if
you want the cheapest, I think you need to go elsewhere, but if you want
professional and reliable, these are your guys. Run by a father and
son (dad founded the business and his son has taken over in recent
years), its a pleasure to have their crews working around the house.
Another positive is that the same people who first worked on the house
in 2001 were still with S&S in 2010. Consistency is so underrated!

His team was very courteous and professional in conducting their work. Upon completing all work, we went through all the tasks against the proposal.
There is no sign of the leak and the new 3-season porch looks great. We now get far more use from it than before. People have commented how nice it looks.
I would definitely work with Gary Subers again for other contractor jobs. We recently had opportunity to do so again regarding replacing two posts in the front of our house. Like the previous work described, he recommended an excellent solution, fairly priced the work, and completed all tasks associated with the job. He was also honest in noting to us work that didn't need to be done that was proposed, reducing our project cost.
