I came home from work to find my fence damaged from a vehicle hit. My neighbor informed me the paving contractors were outside, he heard a crunch and thought they had hit is truck. It turned out they hit my fence. No note was left. There was no effort to contact me. The contractors were working again in the area today, and nobody stopped by to explain what happened. I learned that the fence was damaged when my dog attempted to crawl through the hole they had knocked in it.I had to contact the town manager to find the name of the company who was performing the work on my street in order to get in touch with them. I attempted to contact the company to attempt to get an explanation why they damaged my property and did not leave any kind of notification (or even contact information since they spoke to my neighbor) but my telephone call was not returned. I have filed a police report, but realize that because nobody actually witnessed it, I will wind up repairing the fence out of my own pocket. This demonstrates a STUNNING lack of professionalism, unsafe driving, and even criminal behavior for damaging property while working and not making any attempt to make amends. I would not recommend that anyone use this company since they clearly do not take responsibility for the actions of their employees, nor do they respect the property of those that they were hired to serve, nor can they return a phone call.
