We contacted Jacob after our purchase offer was accepted. We were on a fairly quick schedule for the closing, Jacob was able to schedule an appointment for us quickly and made arrangements with the sellers agent to get in and set up the Radon testing equipment ahead of the actual inspection date. That way the Radon testing would be completed by the date of the inspection.
He did a very thorough inspection and report and explained his findings to my wife. I had a couple of follow up questions due to the fact that I was out of town when the inspection was done, and he responded to those quickly as well.
We were very satisfied with his process, professionalism and reporting. We would not hesitate to recommend him.

I set up an appointment for 2:00 pm on September 13, 2012. At 1:55 pm Mr. Troost arrived. He was cordial and instantly one was put at ease. He introduced himself to the homeowner and then spent the next 3 hours inspecting the home inside and out. I accompanied him on this inspection and he was kind enough to point out what he was seeing and explaining both the positive and negative about the home.
His written report was emailed to me the next day. This report was comprehensive and in understandable language. I had several questions on the report which he answered to my satisfaction. Subsequently I had several follow up questions- he returned my calls or emails promptly and thoroughly answered all of my follow- up questions.

Great. This is the second time I have used Jake for the inspection. The first time we used Jacob was in 2004 when we purchased a home in the area as a primary residence. At that time he was with another company, but he has since started his own company. At that time he was very complete and thorough. This second inspection performed October of 2007, was just as good. Jake was on-time (a rarity among contractors) and was again very thorough and complete, providing a copy of the report via e-mail by the close of business on the same day.
