"The original quote for this customer was sent to her assistant, Secret Cole. The estimate that was given was based on a list of furniture the was provided by Secret. Inventory List: 1 table, 6 dining chairs, 1 china closet, 1 bed, 1 dresser, 1 sofa, 1 refrigerator, & 10 boxes. Customer was quoted 4-6hrs with a rate of $199.50 for 3 men - 1 truck, on 08/19/25 at 1:42pm, which includes a 10% discount from the regular rate of $219.50hr. This quote includes a 3hr Minimum + 1hr travel charge. Any charges after the minimum are calculated by the .25hr. There is also additional charges for stretch wrap, tape and fuel, which are clearly typed in her quote. The quote also states if the provided list or information details of the job are inaccurate, your move could cost more & take more time depending on items, steps, distance to truck, logistics, and box count. Secret called last minute on the actual date of the move to book services for 08/30/2025. She stated that the other movers they booked backed out, and that was the reason for the last minute booking. She also said the payment would be made by Abigail Mordi, whom she was calling for, who we had never spoken to prior. This call was conducted around 10:00AM on 08/30/2025. We told her that Saturdays are our busiest days and we would try to get to her in the afternoon between 3:30PM - 4:30PM, but the deposit had to be paid first. We called Abigail and Secret from 10AM -to 12:30PM to make sure the job was still a go. We couldn't get Abigail on the phone to secure the deposit. Other jobs booked in that time frame. Deposits are first come first serve. She didn't pay her deposit until 12:52pm for $250.00 + 9.38 (cc fee)= $259.38. All jobs for that day lasted longer than expected, but we still called her to update her, and showed up to her residence because as she stated in her complaint, she only had a "quick same day move". Upon arrival at 7:00PM, the foreman on the crew called the office because this was far from a quick move. It was a fully furnished 3 bedroom house, with a garage that was completely full, and a basement that was full of boxes and totes. (We have pictures also) She stated that her storage closed at 9:00PM, and there was no way possible to move that amount of property in that time frame. We told her we could come back in the morning to move her and wouldn't charge her the over time Sunday Rate because of the inconvenience. My men still receive time 1/2, but i ate the cost because we couldn't service her the day prior. Abigail stated that she had something to do in the morning and couldn't move until the afternoon. The move on Sunday, 08/31/2025 Started at 2:30PM. The men loaded the 26ft overhead truck (which was full from front to back) and arrived at storage at 8:15PM= 5.75hr + 1.00hr travel= 6.75hrs + 2.50hr to offload= 9.25 total hrs x 199.50= $1846.00 + $50.00(fuel) +$50.00 (stretch wrap) + $30.00 (2 rolls of tape & 4 Mirror sections)= $1976.00Total - $250.00 deposit = $1726.00 + $64.73 (cc fee) = $1790.73. All payments are collected prior to offload at the destination location. This ensures we don't have any issues with non payment at the end of the job. (This is in the contract she signed!) Abigail tried to negotiate her bill, and refused to pay her bill prior to the offload and claimed she wasn't paying until her things were offloaded, and she wasn't paying for fuel, travel time, or any materials, which is clearly printed in black in white in her quote."
