OKNA WINDOWS INC

Bought Okna windows from a local supplier. Color has changed over time on several from the original "stone" to something more like a mint green. Additionally, on a few other windows, the finish has chipped. Warranty said "repair or replace," and the company will only paint them. You buy vinyl so you don't have to paint, and paint is not repair. Highly disappointed. Would never buy again.

Patrick and Sons installed the windows in one day and there were no problems.  I have had no problems with the windows.

So far, so good.

Very pleased with the installation and quality and performance of the window. They were much cheaper than others quoted and had some features others did not have, such as self locking and clearer screens.

It took one (1) day to remove and install 14 windows.  Took time to clean the windows and to vacuum the carpets under the windows.

The serviceman came back a few weeks later with two replacement windows. One the wrong size. He then came back a few weeks later with two more replacement windows. One the wrong size. He then filed a report that the third window wasn't defective. Voichek then came out to look at all the windows and took pictures of the mold and again said the third window wasn't defective. He sounded like he was going to deal with the mold issue, but never came or called back. This is now 5 months.
I now have mold inside of every replacement window and a window that looks like fog resides on the inside whenever the weather is moist. They never called back and when I call Voichek says, "I will call you right back."  He never does. I am still waiting for the PA Attorney General's office to respond to this VERY SERIOUS problem. The Attorney General's office didn't find this issue a problem and recommended my hiring an attorney which I did.

In June of 2013 after paying $1000 to an attorney OKNA finally responded. They sent out a man who said he was from the manufacturer who admitted there was a problem with the outer seals. They sent the technician back to fix the one final window that had failed and cleaned and resealed all the windows except the garage windows which they claim they will be back to fix on 8/2/13. I thought things were much better until I called to let them know about the 2 missed windows. I talked to Voichek again who was nasty and angry that the manufacturer had told me the window seals were faulty. He said, "I just cost him his job." He also made it clear he was angry I had written bad things about the company. I reminded him I spent $1000 to get them to deal with the mold and bad window issues. He still insisted that the windows got moldy because I lived under trees. He couldn't explain why the replacement windows that had been previously installed and were 20 years old didn't have mold.

As it turned out he claimed he didn't fire the technician. It took over a year, but they did finally come and re-seal all the windows which seems to have resolved the issue.
