Angie's List attempted to get a better resolution, but failed. They finally sent a replacement handle, but it was black for a beige door, in about 20 pieces which would require a professional to come and install it and it wasn't a handle that would fit the door. I asked for my money back to buy another door and they accused me of not being willing to pay them to fix the defective door they sold me under warrantee. They are now claiming the $295 was all labor, but forgot that I had been given the choice of $395 to replace the glass or $295 to replace the door and glass. Where is the labor delivering a door that was under warrantee ?
It is now 6 months and I still haven't gotten any fair resolution.
I had to laugh when they said I refused to pay for "parts". Parts for what? I paid under warranttee $295 for them to replace a sliding glass door which according to another dealer was the FULL PRICE for the door, not a price for installing it and it turned out to be defective. Did they expect me to pay for the handle they sent which wasn't the handle that fit the door THEY installed?
"Efficient Home Products replace a sliding glass door that was installed by another contractor. The glass door was replaced in 2011. the $295 charge she paid in 2011 was a labor charge to replace the door. We have mailed the member an entire replacement door handle, as we don't know which piece she was missing - and she still refuses to pay for any parts."
