I am a designer that embodies style along with affordability! Whether you need assistance selecting paint colors, designing window treatments, selecting or rearranging furniture, home staging, or remodeling I offer solutions! I have relationships with several contractors that I work with on a regular basis or I can subcontract out to a contractor whom you have a relationship established. My billing is personalized and you decide if you would prefer to pay as you go, pay every 2 weeks or invoiced monthly. Acceptable payments are personal checks or cash. I would love to meet with you to discuss your upcoming project M-F. I also offer evening and weekend appointments as well.

Vicky did exactly what I requested - used my existing traditional furniture and added a few new items, window treatments, accent pieces, to transform a rather tired and outdated look into a fresh, modern look with clean lines and a casual but elegant ambiance. Vicki saved our project. We were working with a contractor who was supposed to help us with design as well as construction. But by the time construction was ready to start, design had very little picked out. We called Vicki and luckily she was able to jump in very quickly. We only had a few days to pick out bathroom fixtures, bathtub and shower. My wife and I are busy and we don’t have time to go shopping to pick out tile, fixtures etc. Plus we are just not good at it. She talked with my wife and I about our likes and style. Vicki had a vision and and was able to source everything we needed. She gave us a few options to choose from for everything. We loved all the options she gave us. She is also very detailed oriented. Even though she picked up this project midway through she never missed a detail. Was always on time a prepared when we met. She has a lot of connections in Pittsburgh for sourcing materials and we trusted the vendors she recommended completely. She also held their feet to the fire to deliver on our project. The biggest thing is that we trusted her. We knew that she has a vision and when she was recommending a paint color, tile, fixture or vendor it was going to work and look awesome. The end result is a beautiful basement, with a full bar, and gorgeous bathroom. We never could have gotten it done without her.

The project went great! Vicki is great to work with! She is timely, reasonably priced and always asks your input! I was lucky to find her and would not use anyone else! We were picking lighting for the front of our house! She gave us a variety of options in style and price to choose from! Hiring Vicki Brown was one of the best choices I ever made. My husband and I have a beautifully decorated home and we ourselves put very little time and effort into it—it was all Vicki. Although we made the final decisions Vicki narrowed down all the selections so decision making was easy. She sourced furniture, kitchen appliances, flooring and lighting fixtures, chose paint colors, fabric styles and colors and furniture arrangements. She scheduled appointments with furniture, appliance and countertops stores where we received VIP treatment as beneficiaries of Vicki’s many contacts. When it came to the Installation of the countertops, lighting, flooring and painting we took advantage of Vicki’s team of highly skilled tradespeople which included an electrician, plumber, painters, cabinet maker and seamstress. Vicki acted as contractor scheduling all aspects of the project and providing quality control. She was on site supervising the work and even helping with clean up when necessary. She stayed with the project every step of the way to ensure everything was done to our satisfaction which even included furniture delivery. The final stage of our project was window treatments. Vicki helped with the selection of the fabric and worked with the most fantastic seamstress that handmade all the draperies and came to our home to install them. I most definitely would recommend Vicki Brown. She is highly skilled, pleasant, professional, easy to work with and her fee is very reasonable—she’s worth at least twice more than what she charges. My husband and I are very happy with the final result and we are getting rave reviews from friends and family.

Vicki does a great job. This is the second project she has done for me. She helped to select and coordinate the installation of granite counters and a tile backsplash. The job was a bit complicated as my cabinets were not level and she worked to secure all of the contractors needed to make this a successful project. Vicki does a great job understanding my needs and style and working with me to select materials. She is knowledgeable, prompt, friendly and just a joy to work with.

I would not hesitate one bit in hiring Vickie in the future for any interior designing. She has a great professional talent for interior design. Our large office (140+ Employees) was in much need of an interior update. Vickie Brown did a phenomenal job in guiding us to choose the right choice of colors and flooring combination to modernize our facility. In addition Vickie worked with a number of office furniture company's in the Pittsburgh area to help us choose the perfect solution with the use of versatile panel systems to best utilize open space and offering modern and proficient use of our open floor space. Vickie rates for service was extremely fair, I highly recommend her!

We found Vicki Brown Interior Solutions here on Angie's list and chose her because of her high rating. The short story- she is amazing! We had a bathroom water line disaster on the top floor of our home which resulted in plenty of damage and a lot of restoration work from the top through bottom floors. There were simply too many choices for us to handle: flooring replacements, carpeting, paint colors, replacement lighting, furniture and so on. It was more overwhelming because we needed to tie all of the restoration work into the rest of the house that was not damaged. The disaster was bad enough, but the decisions afterward just put us over the edge. Well, until Vicki came to the rescue! Vicki responded to my phone message the same day that I called. She was pleasant and professional on the phone. She asked about the project and then quickly reviewed how she charges for services (simply by the hour, and a very reasonable rate I might add). We scheduled an appointment for a few days later. She was amazing. We walked through our home and discussed all of the work that needed to be done. We explained that insurance was covering a good portion of it, we were using their recommended disaster restoration company, but we were on the fence about other items in our home that we may or may not want to do at the same time. She was amazingly patient, thoughtful and just very smart about everything. She asked great questions of us to get a sense of our style and the direction we may or may not want to go in various places. She also made very clear that as the project moved forward and she presents us with choices: we should never feel bad about rejecting anything. She encouraged us to be open and honest and promised us her feelings wouldn’t be hurt. Her job was give us choices so that we would ultimately love the final result. She made us feel totally at ease. Vicki became the lead on the entire project. She took care of all of the meetings with the restoration company. This included meetings where she narrowed down samples of paint, carpeting, and flooring with them using their preferred vendors. She also checked out various furniture stores to help find replacement furniture. This was a ton of work! She would then bring us a short list of amazing design choices! Honestly we could have closed our eyes and picked any one of her choices randomly, and be totally happy with it! We didn’t do that of course, but absolutely could have. Throughout everything, Vicki kept us in the loop. She was always great about letting us know who she is meeting with and the types of design choices she was considering. She was never late for a meeting, and while she was working with quite a few clients and very busy, she was always flexible and prompt when scheduling meetings with us. As of today, all of the design choices have been made, and the work is currently underway. Vicki is still keeping tabs on everything and is always available to answer questions as the work continues. I will post a follow-up after everything is complete, but one thing is clear: Vicki is fantastic and we can’t recommend her highly enough! Thanks Vicki!

The project went great! Vicki is very personable, a great listener and a great sense of style and color! She met us at the furniture store and had previously picked out some choices that she thought would look nice in our home! However, she would make it clear that the decision is always ours! She helped us make a decision with the contractor on where tiled floors versus hardwood floors began and ended. She also helped with where the recessed lighting should be placed on our first floor! She helped us select material for bar stools, kitchen chairs, dining room chairs and draperies. Vicki has excellent contacts that she works with, a seamstress, painter, handyman, etc. I not only found a great decorator in Vicki but a new friend!

Vicki is amazing! Her vision for a space is incredible. She worked with our taste in choosing furniture and fabrics. She pays attention to every detail including the accessories for each room. Vicki is very personable and spends so much time making sure everything is perfect. She is very connected to people from different stores throughout the area and finds products that work well in each room of your home. Vicki is a delight. She really tries to customize to the taste of the customer. We are thrilled with our new living room and entry and everyone that has seen it loves it. Our projects went well. Vicki gave her input and helped guide us to what would look good in our space while staying within our personal tastes. The various projects required us to work with a number of specialists - plumber, electrician, granite, carpenter, and flooring company. She had trusted contacts in each of these areas that she had worked with before. They did a great job and Vicki was always checking in on them to make sure the work done on time and to her and our standards. The other important piece that Vicki took care of was the logistics and coordination of all the various projects. She was great at this and gave us a timeline before work started so we could see when items were being done.

We had just purchased a home in the area and had about a month and a half until we needed to move in. We knew there were several things ever wanted done in the house that would be easier done before moving in. We are new to the area and knew we would need help finding contractors and with making some design decisions. We contacted Vicki through Facebook after reading her reviews on Angie's List. She got back to us quickly and we set up a time to meet. Vicky was very attentive at listing to our needs and wants and also matching our personal style. She helped us pick paint colors for the house and set us up with a painter who could get the job done in the time we needed it (and who also did an excellent job). She helped us pick out some new carpet and arranged to have it installed. Vicki helped pick window treatments throughout the house. She also put us in touch with a handyman who did several projects around the house, including installing doors in the basement, adding a handrail to the stairs, and repairing the railing on our back porch. Vicky was always quick to respond to any questions we had, and still checks in with us even as our projects have slowed down a bit. (Vicki also helped us with some initial consultations on a bathroom remodel, but we haven't started on that work yet.) Vicki works for a set hourly rate, which is nice: she is always out to find the best options for our style and budget. We would highly recommend Vicky for anyone looking for some help with a remodeling project, big or small, and plan on seeking her help again in the future.

Excellent!! I was unable to even know where to begin, but Vicki drew out plans - easy enough for me to understand. Worked with me at Arhaus Furniture Store, helped me with paint selections, helped with an area rug and the list goes on. Vicki makes 'suggestions' but also takes your taste, finances and needs into consideration. I've learned a lot from her and will definitely use her in the future. This is my second project with Vicki. What was once a ordinary bathroom is now a spa oasis. Vicki did a tremendous job re-designing the space and it feels very spacious. The new cabinets, lighting, fixtures and fittings and the paint colors are fabulous. The transformation is truly extraordinary.
Vicki made it very easy on us throughout the whole process and I had serious time constraints. She kept us organized and delivered the project on budget and on time. She is a consummate professional and is delightful to work with. I am a huge fan and plan to do additional projects with Vicki.
