Horizon Overhead Doors

Found Jim on Angies list. I needed a non-standard opener that the big box stores do not carry and Jim was one of the recommended installers from the company who makes the opener. Jim spent a lot of time helping me with door selection. Answered a ton of questions. He installed the door when promised. Door and opener are great. It need a small adjustment and we wanted to add a feature, He was back the next day. Squeezed me in to his schedule. Everything is great. I would recommend him highly.

When one of 2 main cables that lowers/raises door became unspooled, it was repaired in 15-min for the price of a service call. Although the service call price was a bit more than expected--however, i must admit that I have not had a service call for any reason in years, so my assumed estimate was likely conservative by today's standards--the work was completed w/in 30-min of my call, so I have no complaints. Very pleased with the service.

The provider performed tune-up on my garage and fixed the door (it wasn't closing). The provider was on time and professional. Also explained what to do so the door doesn't jam up again.

Came out to examine the door, measured springs. He had to order the parts , came back 2 day later, and installed the spring in about 45 minutes. I was able to lift the door with two fingers..

When they repaired it they over-tightened the springs. About a week later our garage door opener failed. We called Jim and he took a look at it and three days later they repaired the garage door opener for free. When the door failed, I went to open it manually and it flew open which it's not supposed to do. But he came out and made it right.

I was extremely pleased with Jim's promptness, price, and attention to detail. I highly recommend him.

We spent about $2000 on that work. The work was fine and the price seemed to be fine, so we have no problem recommending them to others. The work was fine and we don’t hear any complaints about them.

Their price was good and it matched their estimate. They did the work in one day and it was good. My interaction with them went very well. They made it easy for us.

They were timely and their estimate was accurate. They did the work in a day and they were clean. I ordered the door and it was late. In the meantime the old door broke and I called him to fix that. He didn’t charge me for that. He was excellent.

There was absolutely no problem. I called him up, the guy knew the area, he knew what size door we needed and exactly what we wanted. He came out later that week and did the whole job in one day while I was at work and there were no problems. It was a good interaction.

I phoned Jim at Horizon, one of three companies I contacted, to come look at our old wooden garage door and determine if it could be repaired or would require replacement. He made an appointment to come and assess the situation, which he did, arriving on time on April 18th. He discussed the benefits of repair versus replacement and was fair in his assessment. He left me with an estimate, and a time frame. He required no money down. I ordered the door in April and expected installation 6 weeks later. This was the only problem; when the door came in, Jim was busy and so installation was delayed two weeks. On the appointed day, June 12th, Jim and a colleague arrived on time and went about their work efficiently. They took about half a day to remove the old door and install the new one, including replacing the old frame, the tracks, everything. They cleaned up well and the new door works beautifully. They charged exactly what they estimated.

We wanted a quote on 3, 10X10 Garage Doors. Jim, was very professional. He came out gave us a quote and explained everything in detail. He came back 4 weeks later installed the doors and left us instructions on how to work the codes and garage doors. It was a pleasant experience.
