CARL'S UPHOLSTERY

Upon my initial call and description of the chairs, I received an acceptable estimate. I scheduled pickup of the chairs in two days at a proscribed time - and Carl arrived exactly on time. He estimated a two week turn-around time, which was also acceptable to me. I received a call in one week, stating that the chairs were finished, and they were delivered the next day - beautifully re-upholstered. There was one surprise when the chairs were delivered to me: Carl explained that he could not remove the large dowels that held the seat backs to the chairs, therefore, he had to add cording around the top and bottom of the seat backs since they could not be finished off the same way as they were originally upholstered. I'm fine with the way it looks, as I knew the removal of the dowels could be difficult, but I didn't like to find out about it as a surprise upon delivery, and it would have been a problem if I didn't like it. I think the best way to have handled this would have been to call me when he discovered he could not remove the dowels, discuss the option of cording, and obtain my agreement prior to proceeding.

THE PICK UP PROCESS COULD BE BETTER, BUT DELIVERY WAS RIGHT ON SCHEDULE, DID WONDERFUL WORK, AT A WONDERFUL PRICE. VERY PLEASED WITH THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE. VERY POLITE. SEEMS LIKE A SMALL OPERATION.
