Bancroft Wallcovering & Painting

Job was completed early (arrived early and stayed late to finish) to accommodate my schedule and was well done. Dennis made sure that the dust from the drywall spackeling was kept to a minimum and was easily cleaned. They did a great job. Looking forward to using them again!

The crew (5 painters the first day and 3 the remaining days) arrived early (8am) as planned each day and were able to complete the entire project by Wednesday. They did a great job making sure we were happy with each painted area. The crew was very professional, and courteous. Scheduling the job was easy. I found it best to contact Rodney via e-mail rather than phone and we were able to work out all the details prior to the start of the job. The contract was clear and it was easy to come to payment terms. The final cost was exactly in-line with the estimate. There were no surprises, delays or excuses. I am looking forward to using Bancroft again in the near future.

They got here on time and got right to work. They really knew thier job. They were very helpful to me in choosing paint.

We are redoing our kitchen, starting with the walls, and we obtained several estimates for removing the original wallpaper and then painting, including one from Mr. Bancroft. We were pleased with the attention to detail he gave when he inspected the kitchen for the estimate. In addition, he was the only one who provided us with a firm flat-rate estimate, even though all the estimators agreed that because of the age and condition of the wallpaper it might be tricky to remove. He arrived promptly with his crew on the appointed date and by the end of the day had removed all the old wallpaper. In fact, as all the estimators had surmised, the walls had not been properly prepared when wallpapered originally and there was extensive patching required before the walls could be primed and painted. Because of this, the work, which was expected to take three days, took five instead. Each day, the workers meticulously covered everything in the kitchen and cleaned up afterward, so we were able to cook and eat in the kitchen all week. When I did a final inspection, there were a few spots that weren't quite covered by the multiple coats of paint (a shade of yellow, which we later learned isn't the best cover shade). These spots were readily touched up by the crew. Overall, the wallpaper removal work and painting were done meticulously, Mr. Bancroft and his crew were pleasant and professional to work with, and we were very happy with the work. We have additional rooms that will have similar work needed in the future, and we would not hesitate to engage Mr. Bancroft again.
