Everything was done in an accurate fashion, it wasn't the most timely interaction we had but it was fine. When we presented them with competitive rates from other places they matched them. They also matched waived fees from competitor's, too. In the end we got a great rate from them.

Trident was really good. I will tell you, they even still send me Christmas cards and my mortgage recently switched over to another company. I was a first time home buyer. They caught several mistakes I had made because of my newness to buying a home. They had great communication and they know what they are doing over there.

I felt Trident gave us a good deal, if not the rock-bottom lowest deal available (6.25 0 points). They were willing to negotiate on some of the lender fees in order to match a price I found elsewhere. I was extremely impressed by the responsiveness of the mortgage consultant, Robin Bowman. She was extremely quick to reply to all questions and generally very thorough. She also came to the closing, which many banks won't do. I was never concerned that they wouldn't be able to close the loan on time, or that they would drop the ball in some way. I was a bit disappointed to discover that unlike some lenders, Trident wouldn't let me elect to pay points before closing to buy the rate down; apparently I would have had to decide to do that when I locked my rate. Other than that, it was a totally problem-free transaction.
