We are considering putting significant renovations into our home but my true love is older houses which our house will never be. There is a beautiful older home in our school district listed by the Jeff Silva Group so I called to schedule a viewing. I spoke with Stephanie who told me I would need to come to the office first before seeing the property. I made a comment of "that is a bit out of the way" but sure, I get it, it would be a safety issue to just meet at the house. When I got to the office she told me we were going to go over some information and then we would schedule a viewing of the property in Fort Washington that I wanted to see. She said that she didn't think we would be able to see it today. I was very upset as I had dragged my 2 young children with me and really just wanted to see this house. She left saying she was going to see if she would be able to get a showing there today (the house is vacant so I didn't see why that would be a problem). She never came back. Instead, a man came in to tell me that they can not show a house without proof a financing etc. If I would have been told that on the phone I could have brought it with me. I am so frustrated with the waste of time that I almost don't want to buy the house just because I can't stand the thought of the Silva group getting a commission on such poor service.
The journey wasn't easy, but Lee made himself available whenever we needed to talk or ask questions. Lee was professional, knowledgeable, patient and very honest. He shared his opinions on each house and the neighborhood, and never tried to push us into a sale for the wrong reasons or make an offer that wasn't smart.
And just when it felt like there wasn't a house out there for us,we found our perfect little home in a perfect neighborhood with all the character and potential we were hoping for. Even after our offer was accepted, Lee was truly a bulldog and fought for us throughout the escrow process and again, answered all of our questions, calmed our fears and reviewed everything as many times as we needed. I don't know how we would have gotten through without his advice and expertise.
After all is said and done, we consider Lee more than just a real estate agent, we see him as a friend. We are excited about our new home and would definitely work with him again if we needed a realtor.
I was referred to a member of the team that works with rental properties in the area. Kristin has spent ... I think it's been two or three months helping me find a town home. I have lost count of the number of houses we've looked at or discussed. Kristin has spent A LOT of time going through listings, making phone calls, and of course the time walking through all of these houses and properties with me. I really appreciate her time and efforts to help me find a home.
I've definitely had a great experience, and I'll be contacting Kristin and/or a member of her team for any real estate needs in the future.
