First and second projects went very well. His work was of good quality and was completed in a timely manner. When it came time to do the third project, I hired Greg without a second thought. And without a contract. My mistake.

As it turns out (and as he himself told me), Greg is not comfortable discussing money. So when the project started to go beyond the original estimate (right from the start, apparently), he did not let me know. The final project (including my getting someone else to come in and put in the hardwood floor) was more than double the original estimate. It was a shock. Eventually, Greg and I split the difference. I might ask Greg to bid on another project some day, but will never again hire someone on a time and materials basis instead of on a contract.

Greg is a wonderful person, a and quot;gentle giant,and quot; very trustworthy, and kind. I completely trusted him to work at my house while I was not there. One day, he brought his new chicks over to my house to show my daughter, who was then three. I enjoyed having him around (right up until the final bill arrived).

From the first day to the last, Greg came to the job on time, did the work in a professionla manner and cleaned up thoroughly each and every day. What more can you ask for?

PERFECT. Highest quality work, looks great, received many compliments.

In the past we had this person put on a roof, vinyl siding, gutters and various smaller jobs. So, we called him when a gutter blew off. He came over to check it out with one of his helpers. Told us that person who put on the roof put it on wrong (HE IS THE ONE who did it!) Wasn't offering us a redo, break on new roof price, also advised put new guttering and we asked for gutter guards. We got his estimate: $22,000 for roof, $3700 for guttering. I have estimates from 2 other roofers: for roof, $6100 and $7400; guttering, $1500. I wish Angie's list existed back 17 years ago. He probably really messed us over with that first roof job and all the other jobs we hired him to do in the past. He was recommended by our next door neighbor! Wonder if he was ripping them off too! But then again Greg and my neighbors are really good friends so he probably did not rip them off. A lot more I could say but it would be unprintable. Hire him at your own risk.

Get other quotes before you hire him. I have been negligent in that I have not put in my review for Brian Martin and MastersCraft but will try to get that in shortly. Also if you are in the market for granite you definately should go to Colonial Granite and Marble in KOP, PA but again I need to submit a review, which will happen soon. 　　

It was very, very superior quality of work. The windows are very tight and neat. Everything is done of the highest quality. I have used him multiple times.
