If using this service provider, ask for cost up front and make sure that replacement parts are ordered.
We contacted the provider to communicate our dissatisfaction with the toilet still not fixed despite paying for service visit and high price for parts , and his response was that we should find another plumber.
"We are saddened that after years of working with you, our business relationship has deteriorated this far. Please be reminded that we were quick to respond to your initial request for a phone call in regards to the repair in question and had even scheduled a follow up visit. It was only after your repeatedly insulting emails, questioning our integrity, that we said we were hesitant to continue this business relationship. Randy did in fact give you a verbal quote for the work and parts you requested. Furthermore, we even supplied you with our purchase price direct from the supplier (yes, they were newly dated invoices as we had cancelled the originals), and pointed out that Randy had in fact under quoted you (was charging you less than our cost) because he was honoring the quote he had originally given to you. Your questioning of the parts quoted lacks education about the quality of parts, even made by the same brand, as lesser versions are always available, which we also tried to explain to you. A cheap, plastic model that is the most inexpensive replacement will never be the quality of product that we use. We use plumbers grade products so that we can stand behind our work, which we were ready to do in this instance. After your multiple derogatory emails and this additional tactic of utilizing Angie's List to defame our company, we feel we have made the correct decision."
They responded promptly to my call, came on time for the appointment and were professional. My only area of dissatisfaction was what they charged me. They were in and out of my house in less than 25 minutes and performed very basic services, and yet charged $250.00 I was shocked when I got the bill. However, I own that I should have asked what they charged before making the appointment.
"We offer 24 hour emergency response. We returned your call with in 24 hours. There is nothing basic about snaking a main drain line. All snaking jobs are different. As far as your complaint about our pricing, you should be aware that we have thousands of dollars in equipment, insurance fees, workman's comp fees, licensing fees etc. We offer a professional service at a reasonable rate."
"Thank you for letting us be of service to you. The initial leak we replaced a rotted water supply line located inside your kitchen cabinet. The second leak we replaced a rotted water line located in the basement. We did not charge you extra for the second trip. We charged you a discounted rate for our time/material for the second leak. We do our best to offer a quality product at a reasonable rate. We look forward to working with you in the future."
