Stone Electrical was very prompt, professional and thorough (2 electricians came).  They found the problem rather quickly and showed me a burned out receptacle - one which was melted/burned away.  REALLY, it was half gone - they said it was a miracle no fire resulted.  The actual receptable box was damaged, too.   They replaced everything, tested all outlets and even did a surge test on my home.  As a result, I will be calling them back to install breakers, which will be necessary to bring the home up to code.  They were very pleasant, reasonable and went out of their way to be sure I know what I need to bring my home up to electrical standard(s).  I can't recommend them enough.
