They did a Beautiful job! They came out and worked thoroughly on our roof. They made sure everything was done the right way meaning when our roof was demoed they saw rotted wood and replaced it. Shinn Roofing, owner John, assessed our home's roofing needs as if it was his home. He provided education to the products and structure. His crew was efficient and kind. Our home looks better and is now has a structurally sound roof because of Shinn Roofing! Cost was appropriate to the materials required and used.

John is a true professional and expert in his field. I spent 3 hours on the phone with him discussing my roof and the different options from metal roofs to asphalt singles, but perhaps most importantly was his detailed evaluation of the venting. My house is a modular house that was essentially 2 halfs bolted together. Because of this, there is not a true ridge beam. Thus, a ridge vent would not properly ventilate the attic as there is not enough opening to be covered by the standard ridge vents. Instead, an attic fan was required to remove the moisture and heat from the attic. While John was not the cheapest, he was nowhere near the most expensive. So what made me choose him was a comfort level that I had that he would do the right thing and did not try and sell me on expensive synthetic underlayments, that in reality were not needed. At the end of the day, John was able to completely tear off and replace my 30x60 foot ranch house in one day. And then completed the 24x24 attached garage the next day. Everything was taken away and the place left better then when they came. I would highly recommend J.M. Shinn roofing.

Every thing went extremely well. Very professional. Explained everything that would be done and since I was not able to be at the house while the work was done, John and his wife sent me pictures so I could see what was happening. Would use them again and I recommend them. No heavy sales pitch either.

After receiving other estimates from various companies (3) I decided to go with John Shinn Roofing. I found that John is a no nonsense he gives it to you straight and is extremely knowledgeable about his craft. I was able to point out ventilation issues that I was having and John give me solutions for them. John took the time to explain to me all my questions and made me feel the most comfortable. Through this whole process he kept me informed of the scheduling and when it was time to show up and start the job John and his crew were here early and finished up the same day. I believe that John is not going to upsell you on anything you don't need and has your best interest when recommending what needs to be done. The Shinn Group did a great job! I needed a roof on a new wing on my home and decided to replace the existing roof as well. Management was quick to send the estimator to survey the job explain the plan for my particular roof style and send a quote. They showed up on time in the morning and as the work progressed the found deficiencies on the old roof. After a short discussion we agreed to replace the worn structure. They also installed new protective boots on the plumbing vents, flashed the elevation changes and chimney. They’re very knowledgeable and equipped with the materials needed so it didn’t slow the work down. The were fast, efficient and the rates are very reasonable. My roof looks great! The Shinn Group offers a 5 year warranty and the suggested material manufacturer (GAF) gives a much longer for defects, blow offs and algae. I recommend the The Shinn Group for any roof work. Either new, repairs or reroof. They trustworthy, prompt and the rates are good. Their communication was outstanding. We are very pleased with the quality and craftsmanship.

Extremely thorough and professional, both in the office and on the jobsite. Great communications before, during, and after the job. Wonderful crew with excellent attention to details. In addition to being a large residential job, the roof design was somewhat complicated but was executed with care and skill. Meticulous clean up at the end of the first day and EVEN better at the end of the job on the second day. I would HIGHLY recommend with NO reservations.

Only person out of 5 company's that actually went on the roof for inspection to anticipate any issues that might occur. They were also prompt on their time for the estimate. Anticipated to have work done 2-3 months out. Discovered that I had a very big roof leak and asked if they could push me up in the order. They were already backed up due to a weeks worth of rain. 2 weeks later they called and had a cancelation and called if they could come out the next day. They showed up on time the next day and completed the job in one day. they were able to explain and show everything they were doing as the job went along. The owner was on the jobsite all day. I was also impressed with the cleanup. the estimate was very accurate. John did tell me upfront that sheets of plywood would be additional and the cost per sheet. He would not know how many till roof was stripped. he showed me every sheet that he was replacing. Very comfortable and pleased with the whole process start to finish. Thank you Schinn Roofing

Very quick to come and give us a quote. A crew showed up around 7:30 and was done by 5:00. The workers were amazing, they worked non stop, they cleaned up completely. Very good company.

John and his team replaced the shingles on my roof . They did an awesome job ! They started around 7.30 am and were done at 2 pm. They even replaced my skylight and added a missing piece of fascia and soffit. Really good job !

Very positive experience. Very responsive pre-contract and willing to sit and discuss questions/concerns with us. All work was completed as agreed and with high quality. Entire team was professional and competent and either John or Willis was on site the entire job. Cleanup was great and, aside from a new roof, there was no evidence left of the work that was completed. Chris, in the office, was also great to work with and quickly answered any questions. Would highly recommend without hesitation.

These guys were amazing! Gave us a detailed account of all the work to be performed and did everything on the list. They were prompt, courteous, and when they left you couldn't tell they were even there because everything was cleaned up. The only thing remaining was my beautiful roof! Would recommend to everyone!!!

Price was great , punctual and professional service was performed. In at 7:30 and out by 5 pm . Total clean up and nail bar done several times.
