He was on time (both for estimate and job), replied to emails promptly, and did a fantastic overall job!
He is a skilled electrician, and I will definitely use him again when an electrician is needed!!
Once we accepted the estimate he got right on ordering the generator and getting us on the books for install. He was very reliable and punctual. He answered emails in detail and kept us in the loop every step of the way.
It had rained a lot right before the job start so the ground was really soft and was completely torn up and muddy. Mud was tracked from the trucks in to the street and in our driveway. He sent someone to powerwash the street and the driveway on a Saturday and he and the rest of the crew came on a Sunday to regrade and seed the yard and finish clean-up.
We were thrilled with the work and level of expertise. And to have a contractor that is trustworthy, easy to communicate with and show up when he says he is going to show up (down to the minute) is refreshing!
We already asked him to come back and do some interior electrical work in the near future.
Walter Capper arrived right on time and from the get-go was concerned about keeping our floors clean. There were lots of trips in and out of the house and at the end of the day you'd never have known that. He and his assistant worked steadily all day and were willing to explain the entire process to my husband at the end of the job. They left the work area looking great. He labeled all the circuit breakers on the new electrical panel and in my experience that doesn't always happen. Based on our experience, we will use Capper Enterprises for a couple other projects that we need done. We highly recommend Capper Enterprises.
All of my questions and concerns were answered without the sales pitch lingo and I do appreciate that with anyone. He spent time detailing the job and the model unit I would be purchasing. The estimate was spot on to the amount I anticipated to spend.
No down payment was asked for, which these days many people are cautious about. In fact, these was no discussion of money until the work was 100% complete ! You don't find many contractors like that.
Walt and his crew where excellent. Prompt show up time in the mornings and worked professionally the two days they were here.
Work was clean and professional and the guys were also very personable.Another great thing about them, they are all military vets from different branches.
I highly recommend Capper Enterprises. Anyone who hires them will not be disappointed. Prices,Quality,Knowledge and hiring a group of Vets that served our country...Nothing better.
After an initial miscommunication, Ed was very prompt and was able to redirect a circuit on the generator that was not functioning. He has very good knowledge of the generator product and also gave me some tips regarding the care and operation of our unit. The other work I had asked him to quote was not a priority for us and so he will complete that work when he has available time in between his generator installations.
Very professional, very thorough, and very knowledgable.
houses and hired way more than my share of contractors and craftspersons to do all kinds of work. In short, I?ve seen, and been through, the good, the bad, and some of the really ugly when it comes to independent contractors. Ed Capper is among the very, very, good.
Most recently Ed installed switches and breakers for a portable generator, wired the switch box to the most important components needed in a power failure, and built a cable to connect my house to the location where I need to place the generator. The whole installation inside and out is clean and expertly done.
Also, Ed has rewired and installed electrical components in several rooms in my bizarrely complicated 120 year-old house. He has tracked down faults and repaired outdoor underground wiring to post lights and will now route electricity underground to an old garage and install all the electrical aspects of what will become a small shop.
Bottom line: In my experience over the last eight months, Ed Capper has been completely reliable, honest, friendly, and communicative about all the electrical work I?ve needed. He works fast, knows what he?s doing, and all at a fair price. If you are within his range of travel and he can fit you into his schedule, count yourself lucky, as I do.
Again, nice surprise as it was 8 o'clock on the dot when Ed drove into my drive. He worked non-stop until the job was done and was polite and neat. The workmanship was great with no issues. It is now very reassuring that the generator is there in waiting. No spoiled food or frozen pipes from now on! I have since had Capper Enterprises wire an air conditioner for me as well as run extra power points and lights in my garage. I was, and still am, completely satisfied with the work that has been done so do yourself a favor and talk to Ed about your generator.
We will definitely call Ed again if we need any additional electrical work done, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to our friends.
