We purchased a newly constructed home a year and a half ago. We hadn't even been living it the home for 2 years and the Air conditioning unit stopped working. Sarosky was the company that was contracted with our builder that installed the new system. We called them assuming it would be covered under warranty.  They informed us the warranty is only good for one year on newly constructioned homes. I researched and found out the manufacturer of the unit has a 3 year warranty.  Sarosky told us the part would be covered under warranty but not the labor.  it would cost us $315 to have it fixed. We agreed since this happened at the beginning of August and it was still hot and humid.  I spoke with Janice at Sarosky, she said she would order the part and call when the part came in. She was one of the  worst customer service people  I ever encountered.  My husband spoke with her first. She was very harsh and the least bit friendly. He said she was so rude and direspectful to him on the phone, he refused to deal with her.  Needless to say a couple weeks went by and we havent heard back from them. I called to find out what was going and on and Janice told me she was waiting to hear back from my husband. Because he didnt call she sent the part back to the manufactuerer! Seriously?? I guess my word didn't count!  Their story didnt make sense. If the part was on warranty why would you send it back? It didn't cost them anything?  I personally  think they forgot to order the part. Anyhow another week or two goes by before she calls to schedule a technician to come out and install it.  I was told it would take 3 1/2 hours and the labor would cost $315.  Which equates to $90 per hour, reasonable. They need payment at time of service cash or check otherwise they charge us 3.5% fee if we use a credit card. We schedule it for the following week. My husband took the day off to be.home.  The morning of the appointment I received a voicemail from Janice stating that they sent the wrong part and the wrong part got ordered that they were scrambling to get the right part however the cost of the labor was going to increase because they needed to do additional work. They would have to recharge our unit and that wouldn't be covered under warranty. Now all of a sudden the cost is $685. Her quote more than doubled what it was originally! Are you kidding me?  You call us the day of and spring this on us. I told her i already left a check for $315 with my husband, that we didn't have that cash on hand.  She agreed to take a credit card payment for the difference and waive the 3.5% fee.  Like she is doing us a huge favor when she sprung this additional cost the morning of our appointment!  I was furious to say the least and felt like we were being held captive because the part was under warranty.  The only reason why I gave them 1 star is because the technician was very polite and knowledgeable. He completed the job within 2 1/2 hours.  The invoice that was left wasn't detailed just said $685. i called and asked for a detailed invoice. If we were only charged for labor and he worked under what was quoted why was the cost still $685?  Janice said the only provide lump sum invoices and the labor was $685. I asked for a break down of labor cost and she said they use a flat fee. Thats great i want to know what your flat fee is because we certainly were over charged.  So according to what I was charged their billing rate is $274 per hour!  Absolutely ridiculous!!  How does your billing rate go from $90 per hour to $274? I will never use them again!  They are unprofessional, unfriendly, rude and over-priced!!  Oh come to find out Janice is an owner!  That is appalling knowing she treats customers like ****! She lost a customer! I would not recommend them to anyone! if you want to over pay for service and get treated like crap then give Sarosky a call!  If you want to pay less and get treated with respect call someone else to service you!

We use them every year. They come twice a year, we have a maintenance agreement with them. It's $220 a year for the maintenance. If we need a filter, it's extra. we have Tony, who comes every year and he's excellent. They are the best, and they're very conscientious. We went with them because they're local, and they apparently have a good reputation. We went with them and were very pleased.

I was very pleased with the work that Sarosky completed. All the workers were concerned about doing the job right and they cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. They also took a good deal of time after the installation was complete to explain the features of my new programmable thermostat and answer any other questions I had. The new system is working well since being installed.

Installed new Carrier Greenspeed heat pump for forced air heat and central air system in 90 year old 1300 sq ft bungalow.  Replaced ancient oil burner/cast iron radiator heating system and window AC units.  Included installation of ducting and air returns throughout home.  Mark Sarosky's common sense, no nonsense approach was welcome after meeting with many HVAC "salespeople" only interested in closing a deal.  From start to finish all work was performed professionally and as expected.  No "surprises" in work required or pricing after initial estimate.  Would recommend Sarosky to anyone doing a retro-fit in an older home.

The job was done within the stated time and price. Mark is very
knowledgeable and helped me chose the correct unit for my home. I had
used the unit for well over year and did not had any problems with the
unit or the way it was installed. It preformed as mark told me it
would and with cost saving. Mark helped me with the rebate.
I have used SAROSKY HEATING and AIR CONDITIONING for many other projects and will use him again. I used him when I built my home that I live in now and have had no issues.
Please feel free to use them, I would use him again

Not much to say. They came in and gave us an estimate. We agreed to the price, work and equipment to be installed. We agreed on a date for the work (Thursday), which included the following day for completion of everything. They did the work, cleaned up and removed all of the old equipment. We now have a larger A/C unit and a larger air movement system and it is more efficient.

On 9/7/10, the Contractor agreed to schedule an estimate appointment for 9/9/10 at 1:00PM. At 10:00AM on the morning of 9/9/10, the contractor called to ask when I needed the estimate. The contractor explained that the estimator is going on vacation and that I would not receive it for a week and a half or two weeks. I replied that I was in the process of accepting multiple estimates and that I have received two completed estimates. At this point the contractor indicated that the appointment would be cancelled because I it was not needed. (I believe that was presumptuous on the contractors part) I pointed out that the time needed to complete the estimate should have been should have been explained during the initial phone conversation. The contractor replied that the estimator's vacation has been planned for some time and that this is the busy season. That really does not explain why the time needed was not stated during the first phone call. Although it only cost me a few days, my time is as valuable as theirs.
