Garage Door Repair
I had called two other garage door companies. One said they could come the next day but never showed up. I called Precision Door and Tom showed up the same day and fixed my door and was at a lower price than the company that didn't show up!!! Great service and quick.

The gentlemen of the two men was a bit abrupt and was frustrated with me since I didn't understand what he said right away. The other gentleman was very considerate and patient. I was not given hard copy warranties which concerns me but I will contact them for such. I was ill that day so my understanding was not immediate. Also, some question on the installation charges was my only question and normally I am a very easy going customer. I would recommend them to other friends.

They came out the same day which was nice, the two who showed, looked at my issue, said the only thing that could be done was replace the door, at a minimum of $1039.00. Told them I coulden't afford that amount at this time. They billed me $49.95, gave them a check. The invoice that came in my e-mail showed the door, the $49.95 totaling $1088.95. I called them straightaway, told them that i was not ordering any door. They called me back and resent two new e-mail's, one for the door and one for the check I gave them. To try and solve my issue, I removed the damaged bracket, straighten the bracket out, reinstalled it, added two more screws. It currently seams to be working for the time beaning. I may have to replaced the door down the road, after I save up the monies needed to replace the door. But it will not be with Precision Door. Sorry, but they were of no help.

The garage door is usually the largest moving object in the home, so it is our job to help the customer understand options that are safe. Once a garage door has been compromised, it is not like an automobile that you can take to the body shop. Our technicians are trained and certified, and unfortunately sometimes the safest option is to replace the door. The diagnostic fee is a 20 point safety inspection of both the door and the opener if you have one. We wish you the best with your garage door needs, be safe. The Precision Door Team."

Immediate response. Thought I needed a new opener but turns out they fixed what I had and saved me a bunch of $$. I probably could have saved even more if I shopped around. But that would have been too much effort.

Literally had someone show up within 2 hours of calling in on a saturday. On time, professional approach. Maybe a tad pricey as compared to some of the competition - but they install only liftmaster (good product) and i got a belt drive which tends to be more expensive. All told - good job, done right, quickly - makes the grade in my book. Even if its a bit of a premium, well worth it.

Garage Door Repair
Had a simple repair of the door cable and already had the parts. They refused to use the parts and then used the identical ones. I paid $10, they charged $90. 5 minutes of work cost another $90. Would have liked to know the labor rate in advance.

"David, the quality of the parts on the open market are not of the same quality that is the reason we refrain from using customer purchased parts. We have a service fee of $44.95 to come to the home which includes a diagnostic and safety inspection of your door. In review of your inspection you needed cable replacement, and one of your springs was jammed onto the eye hook. I would question the ability of the technician to make an inspection of your door and make the necessary repair in 5 minutes. Our technicians are certified and come with a fully stocked truck to make any repair on the spot. We would welcome your call, 610-344-0730."
