KEYSTONE INSPECTION SERVICE has been in the Pennsylvania building / home inspection business since 1988 and has performed over 80,000 building / home inspections for more than 50,000 clients in Pennsylvania. We are a full time, full service building / home inspection company committed to providing our clients with an honest, objective evaluation of the condition of the home and its major systems. KEYSTONE INSPECTION SERVICE is a multi-inspector firm. Our building / home inspectors bring to the organization a variety of experience and specializations including engineering, construction, and environmental, thereby enabling us to provide you with the "right" inspector for your building / home inspection. KEYSTONE INSPECTION SERVICE knows and understands the time constraints sometimes imposed in a real estate transaction, and will make every effort to meet your deadline. We will not promise you delivery of a service we cannot provide. KEYSTONE INSPECTION SERVICE highly recommends that you attend the building / home inspection and, in order to accommodate your schedule, we inspect 7 days a week. We will provide you with a computer generated report - complete with color photos and inspection highlights - posted for you on an exclusive secure website the next business day. In addition, our inspectors are available to answer your questions long after the day of the building / home inspection. If you buy the house, this service continues for as long as you live in the house.

My realtor later told me that Dave said Barbara would never speak with a client in this manner. She spoke with the head broker in their agency and have decided to remove Keystone Inspection Service from the list of inspectors they recommend to their clients.
I have been a professional counselor for over 25 years and know how to deal with people. Unfortunately the owner of this company does not.
This is an update from 8/30. Received an email from Keystone with an attached PDF of my Radon Report. PDF was completely blank. Logged on to their website to view the Radon Report online. Got completely blank screens there as well. If you want to be "Green" you have to get it right. We never would have requested paper copies of the report if my husband had not gotten blank screens when attempting to view the report online with no access to tech support.
This is a later update from 8/30. General Manager responded quickly to my voicemail complaint about receiving blank screens for my radon report. To his credit he emailed a corrected copy from vacation on a holiday weekend.
"While I understand that we can not please everyone, we have done so for over 27 years. We have never had a bad review on or off of AngiesList or the BBB so I am surprised to hear that you were do dissatisfied and that someone in our company would ever treat a client in such a way. Unfortunately, the fact that we would not send a printed report is based on the fact that we are a green company and have not mailed a report in over 5 years (As stated on our website and on the phone when the inspection was ordered.) We would have been happy to print and mail a report to you but your request to have a copy over-nighted because it would take too much time to print is not a valid reason for us to incur a fee of over $50.00 to do so. With this being said, I personally paid the $56.00 fee to have the reports over-nighted to you without even charging you the standard $25.00 fee because of your claims of how you were treated. I am sorry once again that you were not happy with the same service that our more than 50,000 other clients have been extremely satisfied with and I understand that your Realtor would want us off of their referral list when you threaten them with walking away from the purchase unless you receive your report from us over-night. Their commission is way to high to lose over one unpleasant client like your self especially when their are other home inspection companies who will still offer a 45 minute inspection and a minimal page report that you can get as a printed copy instead of a 3 hour inspection with over 45 pages of information about your potential purchase only that you do not even need to print when as you had stated, you downloaded it to your computer anyway. We wish you the best of luck with this and all future purchases and just hope that you make the right decisions going forward and find a company who makes you happy. ADDITIONALLY, I WAS VERY WARY OF WHAT INSPECTION COMPANY TO USE. UPON EXTENSIVE RESEARCH AND WORD OF MOUTH, KEYSTONE WAS THE COMPANY FOR ME.
GENE ARRIVE 15-30MIN PRIOR TO OUR SCHEDULED APPT. HE WAS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY YET PROFESSIONAL. HE SUGGESTED I FOLLOW HIM AS HE THOROUGHLY INSPECTED EVERY NOOK AND CRANY OF THE HOUSE. IT WAS A GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE AND GENE EXPLAINED EVERY ASPECT OF THE INSPECTION AS WE WENT. HE TESTED EVERY APPLIANCE, OPENED EVERY CABINET, DOOR, FAUCET, WINDOW, ETC.
I AM COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH THE INSPECTION. I LEFT THE 2-2.5HOUR INSPECTION WITHOUT QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS! YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH KEYSTONE!
