Absolutely amazing. They were very quick and professional. Being a first time home buyer I had a ton of questions and the inspector was very patient and understanding and answered every one. The write up was very thorough and clear as to what was needed. He even took the time to show me how to easily remediate some of the issues that would come up on the report so I wouldn't panic. I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone looking to buy a home.

Keystone Inspection Service, and Gene Cameline, specifically, came highly recommended from our Realtor, Jeffrey Burnatowski. Gene showed up about 10 minutes early- he pulled in right behind my wife and I, as we pulled up to the property. We weren't able to access the house right away due to a timer on the lock-box, so he gave me a brief overview of what he would be performing, as well as doing an initial assessment of the outside of the house. Once inside, he performed a quick walk-through of the house to get his bearings, and began the inspection. Gene was extremely thorough, and took the time to explain what he was doing. At (many) points during the inspection, he took the time to stop what he was doing, and give me various tips, suggestions, and how-to's on things that were going to appear on our Inspection Report. As a first time home buyer, I had no idea what to expect, and only read the horrors of what people put on the internet. At the end of the inspection (which lasted about 3 hours), he made the comment that just about everything on our Inspection Report are things he commonly sees in both older, and newer houses (the house we are buying is a 70 year-old 1,300 sq/ft Cape Cod). With the amount of information he provided me on where to buy parts, and how to repair the easy-fixes, I feel even more confident in investing in our house. It was good to know my wife and I were in such capable hands with Gene, and Keystone Inspection Services. I can't recommend them enough, and would certainly use them in the future. As for my ratings: Overall: A- Gene was a true professional. The Inspection went well. Price: B- Some of the estimates I received online from various companies were less, but I truly believe I got my money's worth with Gene and Keystone. Quality: A- Gene checked EVERY plug in the house to make sure they were grounded. He got into every nook and cranny to give us the best inspection possible. Responsiveness: A- Keystone got back to me with a confirmation in 1 Business Day. They sent me my confirmation within 2 business days of scheduling. Punctuality: A- As stated above, Gene arrived just as my wife and I did. He then took some pictures of the outside, and gave me a quick overview of what he would be doing during the inspection. Professionalism: A- Gene was great. He took the time to explain everything, show me where valves and shut offs were for Gas, Water, etc. He would give me tips and tricks on how to fix things myself, as well as what to tell professionals that would potentially need to do if/when they had to service various things. If you're a first time home buyer, or you weren't happy with your previous home inspection services, I highly recommend Keystone Inspection Services.

We live out of state and are purchasing a 200 year old stone house. When I called to arrange, there was always someone there to answer the phone, and they were knowledgeable to address each of my questions. The inspection itself was thorough and the access to their website to download the report was easy. The report was insightful as well as detailed, meaning it also provided additional information for consideration around findings highlighted as having greater importance or potential impact. Helpful guides were also provided to understand things such as septic systems; how they test, broad opinions on frequency of maintenance etc. In all, thorough, not alarmist and generally neutral, allowing us to draw our own conclusions on what we determine was of greater importance or risk. There is also a smaller house on the property with a separate septic, thus the higher cost. Very happy, highly recommend.

Very thorough and professional. Appeared to be up to date on latest code requirements as well as having a solid comprehension of residential building standards. He also made suggestions on proactive measures and future maintenance needs I may have to consider, above and beyond his scope of work, that gave me peace of mind in my home purchase decisions. Both times they did a very thorough job and provided a very comprehensive report outlining everything (from big to small) so you know what to expect going in. I would highly recommend them and I would use them a third time if needed, but hopefully won't.

I had an excellent experience. The appointment was easy to schedule online. My inspector Eugene was on time and very personable. He answered my questions and explained what he was doing and provided a very exhaustive report. I would not hesitate to use Keystone again.

The inspector, Gene, arrived before we did, did a thorough inspection and answered all our questions at the site. The report was delivered online faster than expected. It was nice to be able to be present to ask all our customers. Gene took the time to answer each question, to point out issues, and prepare a professional report. I would highly recommend their services.

Things went very well. The inspector (Gene) arrived on-time and explained what he would be doing at the outset of the day. He encouraged us to follow him around so he could show us what he was looking at, point out utilities, etc. The entire process took about 2.5 hours. I found that our inspector was helpful, answered questions with a sense of expertise, and was honest in what we would find in the report. I would absolutely recommend them if you are in the market for home inspection services.

Very though and walked me through every step of the way. Their response time from the time of intital contact until the inspection was very quick; 1 1/2 days plus the report was completed and emailed to me the evening of the inspection. John was very friendly and helpful.

We had the first inspection and were nervous about the house so we paid extra to get the septic inspected. The inspector Eugene was very thorough and found several problems that we had not noted initially. He most like saved us tens of thousands of dollars with his home inspection. The office is very polite and responsive, setting up and confirming inspections within 24 hours. The price was fantastic and far lower than others in the area. On the second house we had inspected there were next ton of problems, however he did identify a couple of potential electrical safety hazards that could have caused a fire. We are so grateful to keystone inspection for helping us pick the right house.

Inspector Eugene was great, knowledgeable and thorough. Report was available on the company website the following morning. I was able to download the report to my computer but my printer is very slow and the report was 55 pages so I tried to email it to my spouse at work to print it. The email would not go through because the attachment was too large. He tried to access it through the website directly but it would not display on his screen. We contacted the company to print and overnight mail the report to us at our expense. They first quoted us $25 which was fine and then did not want to mail it because it was expensive to print it. They could not put their tech support on the phone to help us as they said they were experiencing technical issues with their website and he was tied up trying to resolve these. The general manager, Dave, called me from vacation to tell me my realtor (who referred them) would mail it. When I spoke with her she couldn't believe I was willing to pay for the report but could not get them to send a copy. I called the company again and said I wanted to pay whatever they thought reasonable to get a copy overnight mailed. I was transferred to Barbara, who I later learned was the company owner, who proceeded to tell me I either was too lazy to print out a copy or my husband was too ignorant to figure out how to access it from his work computer. She told me I was insolent for telling her I would leave a bad review on Angie's List about my experience with their customer service unless I could get a hard copy at my expense, and that she resented my threat to leave a bad review.
My realtor later told me that Dave said Barbara would never speak with a client in this manner. She spoke with the head broker in their agency and have decided to remove Keystone Inspection Service from the list of inspectors they recommend to their clients.
I have been a professional counselor for over 25 years and know how to deal with people. Unfortunately the owner of this company does not.
This is an update from 8/30. Received an email from Keystone with an attached PDF of my Radon Report. PDF was completely blank. Logged on to their website to view the Radon Report online. Got completely blank screens there as well. If you want to be "Green" you have to get it right. We never would have requested paper copies of the report if my husband had not gotten blank screens when attempting to view the report online with no access to tech support.
This is a later update from 8/30. General Manager responded quickly to my voicemail complaint about receiving blank screens for my radon report. To his credit he emailed a corrected copy from vacation on a holiday weekend.

"While I understand that we can not please everyone, we have done so for over 27 years. We have never had a bad review on or off of AngiesList or the BBB so I am surprised to hear that you were do dissatisfied and that someone in our company would ever treat a client in such a way. Unfortunately, the fact that we would not send a printed report is based on the fact that we are a green company and have not mailed a report in over 5 years (As stated on our website and on the phone when the inspection was ordered.) We would have been happy to print and mail a report to you but your request to have a copy over-nighted because it would take too much time to print is not a valid reason for us to incur a fee of over $50.00 to do so. With this being said, I personally paid the $56.00 fee to have the reports over-nighted to you without even charging you the standard $25.00 fee because of your claims of how you were treated. I am sorry once again that you were not happy with the same service that our more than 50,000 other clients have been extremely satisfied with and I understand that your Realtor would want us off of their referral list when you threaten them with walking away from the purchase unless you receive your report from us over-night. Their commission is way to high to lose over one unpleasant client like your self especially when their are other home inspection companies who will still offer a 45 minute inspection and a minimal page report that you can get as a printed copy instead of a 3 hour inspection with over 45 pages of information about your potential purchase only that you do not even need to print when as you had stated, you downloaded it to your computer anyway. We wish you the best of luck with this and all future purchases and just hope that you make the right decisions going forward and find a company who makes you happy. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review because even though you were unhappy with the service you received, it still allows people to hear both sides and make their own informed decision about our company."

Everything was great!The inspector Gene Cameline, was very professional and did an extremely thorough inspection which helped us enormously through the purchasing process. He looked in every nook and cranny of the house and explained everything he was doing. I would use him again without a doubt.

KEYSTONE INSPECTION SERVICES IS A GREAT AND PROFESSIONAL COMPANY. I PLACED A REQUEST FOR AN INSPECTION AT 1900 ON A MONDAY NIGHT AND RECEIVED A PROMPT RESPONSE BY 0800 THE NEXT MORNING. KEYSTONE WAS ALSO ABLE TO INDEPENDENTLY ARRANGE MY INSPECTION FOR WEDNESDAY AT 1230 WITH LESS THAN 48HR NOTICE.
ADDITIONALLY, I WAS VERY WARY OF WHAT INSPECTION COMPANY TO USE. UPON EXTENSIVE RESEARCH AND WORD OF MOUTH, KEYSTONE WAS THE COMPANY FOR ME.

The inspection done by Keystone, our second with them, again went amazingly. Gene is a most reliable and thorough inspector. We trusted him so much that we didn't even attend this latest inspection, knowing full well the report would be as professional and informative as necessary to spend this kind of money. He saved us the last time from buying a home with way more issues than the naked eye could see. We quickly retracted our bid on that property and moved on to this latest property, which has turned out to be a absolute gem. We will close on March 1st. Thanks to Keystone, Gene, Dave and Michelle for everything!!! A++++++Company!
