Pete and his workers are amazing. They are all very professional, so hard working and friendly. We decided to paint our house a new color, but had a really hard time with the decision. Part of our house is red brick and we wanted a color to complement that. Pete was so helpful by offering several ideas and also directed us to homes he had already painted. Any questions we had about anything were quickly and professionally answered. We are so please with the result. We will Recommend Pete Darlington Exterior Painting to anyone!

Pete worked very closely with us to choose the color for our siding and shutters. We wanted a change, but weren't sure how to get the effect we wanted. Pete showed us samples of the colors that would blend best with the surroundings, gave us advice on what would look nicest with the roof and trim, and even gave us the addresses of other jobs he'd done so we could get an idea what the final project would look like. We listened very carefully to his advice, and we could not be happier with the result! The new colors are so much more sophisticated and fitting, and our neighbors seem to love them too. Pete's an artist, and you can trust both his "eye" and his honest business sense. We're delighted.

We could not have asked for more. It started with the great customer service, Mr. Darlington came gave us an estimate and explained everything in detail. We were able to select from a wide array of colors. We chose a bold blue color. The prep work was perfect (taping off trim, windows,lights). They first painted the trim as well as the garage door in white, then painted the house in blue. The detail they went into included painting every little thing was quite amazing. There was no over-spray on any parts of the house, foundation or lawn. After painting they wanted to make sure the color was acceptable before removing the masking. It is amazing the feedback we received from the neighbors as well any passerby about how they love the color. 02/06/19 I’m completing this review almost 3 years later, you might ask why? Well I wanted to see how the painting held up, still beautiful and no fading or chipping. I highly recommend Darlington it is a family run business!

Work began on a Monday and ended on Thursday. The crew were tireless and extremely professional. The house was transformed!! We could not be more pleased with the result.

Wow! I called this morning for an estimate, Pete showed up at my house around 30 minutes later, and his team was here in an hour to start the job. The crew was professional and courteous. They went above and beyond, and I could not be happier with the results. I am so happy that the company that I used in the past did not return my call last week. Darlington has my business going forward. Thank you!

Outside of some fixable glitches we were very pleased with the work performed. Our house looks new.

My phone call was returned promptly, and I signed the quote that day. A few days later the work was done, and looks fantastic. I appreciated that Mr. Darlington said that the front of my house really didn't need to be washed, that they could do it, but it wouldn't make much of a difference. Many others would just have added the expense and done it anyway. I'd definitely hire this company again!

As stated above, Darlington Exterior Services did a fantastic job. The pressure washing was very professionally done and his team was engaging to speak with. Once it came to masking and painting, they were equal parts efficient and detailed. They used top quality materials and the results were beyond my expectations. The added pieces that his crew performed, which were not part of the agreement, included caulking an aging set of garage doors, pressure washing the front walk in addition to the house and repair of a faulty shutter. A lesser crew would have simply applied paint and moved on, but the attention to detail and customer orientation made this a service that is easy to recommend.

Pete was great and easy to deal with. Did exactly what he said and the job came out great.

In mid-late August I used the on-line "request a quote" tool on Darlington's website to start the dialog around our proposed project. About a week later Pete called and apologized for not returning my message sooner and explained that he had been very busy. 
Moving on, I explained the scope of work: Exterior power wash and gutter clean, as well as painting all exterior trim, shutters, doors, etc. Pete said this was definitely something his company could handle and we moved on to talk about availability for a site visit. I offered Pete 3 days the following week I could work from home to meet him and any time blocks I was unavailable. He said he was unsure which day he could get there, but would call me prior and we could see if it worked. This was fine by me and we agreed the following week he would call to see if it was convenient to come by. Pete also asked where I got his name, and told him he was well-reviewed on Angie's List. 
Those 3 days (Aug 26-28) came and went and I never heard from him, nor have I since.
I cannot comment on the quality or price of his work, as it was never done. But I do view this as a misstep in customer relations and communication. I appreciate contractors are busy, but maintaining customer relationships is just as important as the quality of your work. If you are too busy ( good for you!) and you simply cannot handle the job I contact you for, then please tell me when we speak so that you don't waste my time.

Pete Darlington and crew did an extraordinary job of power washing and exterior painting of my house. Pete went above and beyond in everything done during the three day transformation . I had a retractable awning that I was going to have taken down after the house was painted. Pete and crew surprised us and took it down, replaced the siding , filled holes at no additional cost. In all my years dealing with contractors I have never had any company that could compare to the professional work that was done . The house looks better now than when it was first built. I would highly recommend Darlington painting services to anyone looking to improve the appearance of their home.

Pete Darlington wasn't the lowest estimate that we got for painting our house, but we were attracted to his attention to detail, obvious concern with quality, and willingness to work with our time frame and our initial desire to do part of the job ourselves. When we first contracted with Pete, we intended to prep and paint the window frames ourselves. He provided guidance about how to do that and was willing to work around our schedule for completing the task. After the powerwash, we decided we wanted Pete's crew to do the window frames and the soffit, which we originally had not planned to paint. Pete gave us a price for the additional work and was ready to go in a couple of days. He and his crew did a great job. The team was organized and friendly. They covered shrubs and wrapped the brick face of our house to protect it from overspray. They showed great respect for our property. The fresh paint looks great. We would definitely recommend Darlington Exterior Services.

From start to finish, we had no problems.  The staff that came to the home were friendly and prompt, respectful of our property and helpful.  When the painting was complete, they went around and touched up any areas that were not totally covered.
I was having a difficult time choosing a color for our home.  I had seen a home in another area that I liked but was unable to match the color.  When I told Pete, he went to the home and spoke to the owners. they provided him a piece of the siding of their home and he matched the color perfectly.
I love my home again.  Thank you Pete and staff.

PETE DARLINGTON AND HIS CREW COMPLETELY TRANSFORMED OUR HOME AND MADE IT LOOK NEW AGAIN.  THE PROCESS TOOK FOUR DAYS FROM START TO FINISH.  THEY STARTED BY THOROUGHLY CLEANING THE SIDING AND TRIM.  THEY VERY CAREFULLY COVERED AND SEALED ANY AREAS (WINDOWS, DOORS, ETC.) THAT WERE NOT GOING TO BE PAINTED.  WHEN THE PAINTING WAS COMPLETE TO PETE DARLINGTON'S SATISFACTION (IN OTHER WORDS - PERFECT!), THEY CLEANED UP AND TOOK AWAY THE TRASH.  THE ENTIRE CREW WAS PROFESSIONAL, POLITE, CONSCIENTIOUS, AND HARD-WORKING.   

Did an exemplary job of removing all on the mold and mildew from the house. Made the 20 year old home look new.

Pete prepared the estimate on his first visit and we had it in hand before he left. Once, accepted, the only trauma was finding a start date that would work for both of us.
His prep work was awesome and it showed in the completed project. We were concerned that they could complete the job on time as we had guests coming for the weekend. While they lost one day to weather they busted butt on the final day and got it done.
We are home during the day and they were very accommodating of our need to get in and out of the house as well as for ventilation as our house is not air conditioned..
We only saw two people during the entire project. Pete, the owner, did the pressure washing and a painter, whose name escapes me, did the majority of the painting. Both were very personable and it was evident they knew what they were doing. They wasted not time while onsite.
Bottom line is we are very pleased with the result and with the company.

Provider had painted our home (built 1974) years ago and the paint still looks great. This year, after we had had some shrubs removed and landscaping updated, we saw discoloration (mold or whatever) on our siding, behind the old shrub locations. They cleaned the entire home - aluminum siding, soffits, gutters, drainpipes, window trim, garage doors, air conditioning compressor and even the inside of the gutters. He used a soap solution and a bleach solution and then rinsed everything off. They then cleaned the ground and driveway of the junk which came out of the gutter. Friendly, complete and professional work. Our home looks great!
We called late in early fall. Pete was trying to fit us in at the end of his season, before it got too cold. He called one afternoon after he finished another job early, and asked if he could come over and we agreed. Therefore, he got work done even sooner than we expected.

Before we started our project we asked four different friends and family members for any recommendations for a painter to paint our exterior of our home. All four said call Pete Darlington. We drove by homes he completed and we were already impressed.
Pete was great from the start. Very professional and honest. From the day he came to our home to give us the estimate we were confident in his service. Our home is very old and we wanted to have our aluminum siding painted. We weren't sure if this was possible but Pete assured us that it would be fabulous and it is! The crew and foreman Bill were very professional down to their clothes. It turned out to be a bigger project then they expected but they continued on. Pete honored his original estimate. They worked everyday tirelessly even returning after the day ended to do one last thing. They were neat and careful around our home not to damage any things.

The associates they sent were friendly n kept us informed step by step what they would be doing. They were professional and very helpful. They arrived one day n powered washed the siding , the next day they arrived and they put up the plastic to to protect the areas and prep work they needed to do, To make sure the house and windows were protected. They cleaned up and the house looks great. The owner also was here to make sure we were satisfied and that all the work was completed to our satisfaction. I would recommend this process and Darlington exterior services . The house looks great and looks brand new. It was a great experience and I would not have done anything different.

From start to finish experience was excellent. Owner, Pete Darlington, came to at least 3 condo meetings to first educate us on the process of painting vs. replacing siding on our 25 year old condo buildings; then coming two more times to answer all owners questions so we all knew exactly what to expect during the process. He also made visits to help Executive Board make color decisions. The entire process took one work week, Mon-Friday. The crew consisted of Pete, his 2nd in command, Bill and 5 other workers. They would show up 8 a.m. each day and work until 5 p.m. or longer. Each morning and evening Pete or Bill would explain what they were going to do that day and then what they would be doing the next day. All condo owners had Pete and Bill's cell phone numbers to call with any questions or issues at any time.The first day Pete pressure washed both buildings. He is the only one that pressure washes and paints as the prep - the pressure washing - is key to getting the paint to adhere exactly as it would in the factory. At the end of each day, the grounds were left as if no one had been there. The following four days consisted of repairing any loose aluminium siding; removing, with a drill, all silicon caulk around windows and replacing (as paint will not adhere to silicon caulk); the crew taping all windows; doors; trim; brick before painting. Once again, every day they worked from 8 to 5 or later with every thing cleaned up. The crew was extremely polite, quiet and very hard workers. They worked through days that were 90 degrees.
The final result was beautiful. There is no overspray on anything...just clean, crisp, beautiful new clean color. The beauty of painting aluminum siding is that it is 1/4 the price of replacing the siding. If it is done right, which Darlington Exterior Services is known for, it is as if you had new aluminum siding directly from the factory.
As you can tell, we were extremely pleased with the whole process and would recommend Darlington Exterior Services to anyone.

Peter Darlington was the power wash guy. He was excellent. Overall, the job was very good. Our house is a light color of Dryvit. It had a lot of mildew stains on it, so he had to use special stuff to get the mildew off. He did a good job.
