Working with Desert Dry was great. We got 3 estimates. Interestingly, they were the most expensive by far. But they also had the most comprehensive solution, including picking up on some cracks in the foundation that our home inspector had noted several years ago, but that neither of the other contractors noticed. The job took about 3 days and I never saw a crew work so hard. They worked 10-12 hour days, including during one of our Nor'Easters. The basement is cleaner and drier than it's ever been, even after having been tested by another Nor'Easter and then again by heavy rains today. I gave a "B" for punctuality because there was some ongoing confusion about what time the crew was arriving each day, but they clearly worked hard while here. Communication with the office and the owner was easy throughout.

I thought they were a good company but they didn't seem professional enough for me. They made up excuses that they were under staff.

We have no record of this person ever calling our company. Their name is nowhere in our database, and they provide a post office [Member Information Removed] and not a home address.

Very, very poorly. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I don't hear their stupid commercials on the AM radio stations anymore, so perhaps they are having financial problems and cutting back on expenses. They guy who sold me the job left shortly thereafter, so I was stuck dealing with a person who did not know me from Adam.
Description of Work: D.D. dug a trench for a drain tubing at the foot of 3 basement walls. The fourth wall is shared with my neighbor, and never leaked anyway. D.D. dug a circular pit, ran the drain pipes into this pit, and installed a sump pump in the pit. They ran the outlet for the sump pump into my stationary sink, where the washer dumps its' waste water. That is illegal in Abington Township. From 2005 approx. thru 2008 S.E. PA. had severe drought conditions. The water table was very low. The system never had to work during this time. When the water table finally rose, and after a heavy rain I had leaks in places that were not leaking before. The sump pump discharge was forcing water over the stationary tub sides and onto the floor. A real mess. I finally got them to come back and run the pump outlet outside the home, and put up some 3 foot high plastic drain board all around the 3 walls. This stopped 90% of the leaks, but the boards were poorly installed, and looked like an amateur did it. They disturbed a newly installed paving stone path as they ran the discharge pipe into the yard. I have left phone messages and got no reply about the poor appearance of the boards. I had to secure some of them myself, and put some moldings along the top of the boards to try to keep the debris from the disintegrating stone basement walls from dropping down in back of them and into the drainage system. Their estimate was about $3K cheaper than another well known company, and I did not request the job be done as cheaply as possible. I wanted it done right. All in all, a lousy, protracted unsatisfactory experience.
