Did a beautiful job. I'm very pleased. The workers were very polite, hard workers. They were very respectful of me and my property. When the job was completed they cleaned the entire area of all trash and swept the surfaces clean .The owner of the company kept me informed of each procedure that was to take place. He didn't micro manage, had complete confidence in his men and their abilities, and they certainly proved him right. I must say I was concerned when going into this project, based on the info I read on
Angie's list, given by other reviews. I, in fact, called Angie's list with my concerns. Not anticipating any problems with the finished job I am being honest about my comments. If I find otherwise ,once it rains if I have a problem, I will certainly report the fact.

This was the worst contractor experience we have ever
encountered. Ray Colalgrande, owner of R&L, had absolutely no respect
for us the homeowners as well as our property. We hired R&L based on
a friend's referral. Initially, the work began on time and the crew
cleaned up at the end of each workday. However, by mid project things
started to change for the worst and Ray and his crew left on a Friday, with no
intention of returning. Per the terms of his proposal, the job was paid
in full because to the best of our knowledge, the job was completed. To
the contrary, and determined upon our return the following day, rotted wood
that needed replaced, and indicated in the proposal that it would be replaced,
was not. Gutters were hung incorrectly. Flashing was installed
incorrectly and the caulking around the flashing (on 2 different smaller roofs)
looked as if a child had attempted to do the work. Our front, side and
back yards, driveway and attic were full of debris - shingle pieces, nails,
screws, pieces of metal from the gutters and vents. This debris should have
been cleaned up prior to leaving the job Friday afternoon. By Sunday
afternoon, the gutters were leaking in 3 different spots around the perimeter
of the house. We left several messages for Ray regarding the leaks, the
debris, the rotted wood, the flashing and caulking. After a 4th voice
message was left for him (we could never reach him directly) he returned our
calls but only via the phone voice mail system. In other words, Ray would
not return our phone calls personally. He would simply leave a voice mail
for us by responding to our message. Two crewmembers, which included
Ray's brother, showed up the following Friday morning - a full week later.
Garbage bags full of debris were removed from the attic. Per Ray's
brother, over 100 nails were picked up in the back yard alone. The other crewmember
proceeded to connect the gutters correctly. He also tried his best to
re-do the caulking around the 2 smaller roofs/flashing areas. The rotted
wood was left. When we had the outside of our house painted in June, our
painter attempted to repair the damaged wood in various places along the
fascia. These areas were those left unfinished/un-repaired by R&L.
The painter repaired some of the rotted wood to the best of his ability;
however, one particular area in the rear of the house absolutely needs the
rotted wood to be completely replaced and the gutter needs to be removed in
order to do so. This is a particular area brought to Ray's attention
during the estimating process and was included in the proposal. After
several attempts to contact Ray again, he finally sent, on 2 separate occasions
and weeks apart from each other, crewmembers that could not correct the problem
because they could not determine how to remove and replace the rotted wood
without removing the gutter. And they did not know how to remove the gutter
without damaging the gutter. On both attempts, the crew called Ray's cell
phone in order to get some direction, but were never able to reach him, nor did
Ray return their phone calls while the crew was on our property. On both
occasions, the crewmembers left without making any repairs. As of
today, approximately 9 months later, the rotted wood is still rotted and our
attic is now leaking in various locations, damaging personal items, wood trim
along windows, wooden support beams. In addition, the gutters are leaking
in 3 different spots and the flashing above the kitchen roof has warped. We
have attempted to contact Ray, to give him the opportunity to correct all of
these problems and honor both his proposal and the warranty on the roof.
To date, Ray has not returned our calls.

Horribly. Work looked shoddy from day one, damaged my aluminum siding with ladders. Discovered that the Oxford "business" address was a mailboxes are us box. I ended up in court.

Under the name Raylin Roofing he replaced our roof. The day after the roof was completed, we had a very heavy rainstorm during which we developed SEVEN leaks in a brand new roof damaging ceilings in four different rooms. We won law suit brought before magistrate and arbitrator; however, Colagrande never paid a dime until we filed with the Attorney General's office and were enjoined with a group settlement after which we received less that $2500 of a $5200 settlement. He stopped paying and the AG's office dropped the ball and has for some unknown reason not pursued the case. Colagrande once again gets away with shoddy work and is not forced to pay. Would never, ever recommend his services no matter what name he uses.

DO your homework, check this guy out, and do not pay him unless you are positive he will come back to finish all the work. He uses used materials that other people have paid for, steals your property from the premises, takes your money, makes excuses, does not have a legit business (PO Box only). BEWARE.

Extremely poor. Mr Colagrande took my partial payment,($3000.) did not do work he performed to my satisfaction, nothing timely about it, poor workmanship, poor quality, left trash and materials on site. Did not complete any of the work he started. I have to pay someone else to complete the work, and to fix the things that he charged me for. I have filed several complaints, and he has not returned my money. He has a documented history and record of taking other people's money. I paid him in July, and he delayed until September to start work. He has not been back since. He owes me for materials he supposedly purchased.
