I would not recommend him. The phone number is their cell phone so they can ignore you. He is just a typical person that used to be a roofer and it got too difficult so now he goes and hires people and he does the selling side. He is in Bethel Park. I used him about five years ago, it cost over four thousand dollars for a small ranch. I had no problems with the pricing and I chose high quality shingles. He had a bunch of goons up there. I did not get what he had outlined on my contract. Even though I was saying write this down and write that down because I wanted to make sure that the warranty of the job and the shingles transferred to the new owners. He said "No", and I said "That's stupid, its the dumbest thing in the world-I don't want to use you"! Then he backed down, I wanted it written in the contract, and he did. There were things that he was to do like install a third vent in the roof and I was charged for that and did not get it. On the roof there were two vents already existing, he said the heating would be better if you added a third vent. He talked me into it and charged me but his people did not put it in. I also ordered stainless gutters and when I came home at lunch time they were putting up ordinary gutters and I stopped them. I said "Take them back down, my contract says stainless gutters". That part was done properly but only because I caught them. The bottom line is that no one on that job knew what they were committed to or what I was expecting. They apparently did not get a work order stating what was to be done and what material was to be used. They were treating it like "Oh it's just another roof"! He claims that it was twenty dollars and I said "What is"?, and he said the vent and I just looked at him and said "Ralph, be careful the good lord doesn't strike you down now", because you know he pocketed that money and he certainly would have pocketed the money on the gutters that I came back and made them make good on it. His people were just obnoxious and foulmouthed! I guess that's what roofers do, I don't know. I even bought them lunch, I called up there and said 'Who wants pizza, and who wants hogies"? because it was a two day job. Before they started the job I signed on the contract that no work should be done during the rain because all you do is seal the moisture and that's how you get the mould. They were planning on ripping the shingles off the old roof and I said "Leave the tar paper because it was supposed to rain, I said "It's the only thing that's going to keep the roof itself dry". I must have called three or four times and they never returned the calls. An entire day and I said "I have burned a vacation day and waiting here at the house for you to call me and you did not have the respect to return my call". They did not care, they pulled the guys off the roof and one of the guys left and went to a doctors' appointment and never came back, so he left them short handed. I would never use them. Roofing companies sometimes have the reputation of hiring only 'druggies' and ex cons. I said " I didn't want any 'druggie' on my roof, I just don't want the idea of finding a body anywhere. He claimed that these guys were all bonded and insured. I moved out about four months later. Nice looking roof! I just wouldn't use them again. Once they start the job and have a part of your money, you are so far on the back burner. Extremely responsive when they are chasing the deal and when it's done they barely know your name. I paid for work that wasn't done. I never got my vent even though it was built into the roof. What they did was decent work. His employee sat on my porch and used the "F" word a thousand times.
