Pleasure Pool and Deck built the pool of our dreams! This family owned business is run by Renee, Art, and Ken. We went with Pleasure Pool and Deck after reviewing several bids from other contractors. They were the most accommodating, experienced, and willing to work within our budget. They added a personal touch and shared their experience to make us feel confident about their work. We also liked working with a family business rather than a larger company.
They visited with us a few times before the project began and shared information on the phone many times. They helped us plan for the entire project.
Their work was excellent. The pool looks amazing and they talked us through each sequence of the project. They completed the project quickly on time. We are so happy with our pool!
I would recommend Pleasure Pool and Deck to anyone interested in a pool.
The Lucas Family
Dave came out, provided the base data on the pool options and spent quite a bit of time talking with us about the fiberglass pools. He also asked what we didn't like about the vinyl liner which turned out to be an important question. We didn't like the vinyl "tile" boarder or the big thick white coping strip that is often very prominent in vinyl pools. The truth was we had an above ground pool and we wanted an in-ground pool that didn't cost 6 figures. Putting 6 figures in a hole in your backyard was not the direction we wanted to go but we also wanted to keep our kids and their friends close.
Ultimately we went with Pleasure because they were reasonable to deal with, they had a bunch of experience and we felt we could effectively work with them through a pretty major project. We were very pleased we did. Kenny is a rock star, all of the recommendations they provided were spot on and they worked with us to find a vinyl liner without seams that went over the steps with texture so the steps were not super slippery.
The folks at Pleasure, a family owned and operated shop, went above and beyond. My husband and I would hire them again in a heart beat. In fact, my husband is determined to get one of our friends to put in a pool with Pleasure within a year. Great experience, great people to work with and we are very pleased with our new pool.
We signed our contract in February 2015 and were first on the list for installation in the spring. They started excavating and digging the first week of April, which was exactly when they said they would start. The pool took about 3 weeks to install including delays for rainy spring weather. Ken was onsite everyday during installation and oversaw all aspects of the installation. He kept us informed on progress and provided information that helped us make decisions on where to place the pool, how deep to make it, and how to grade the yard. Ken was also aware of the broader aspects of our project, which included additional concrete work and an outdoor fireplace. He built the pool and graded in a manner that allowed other contractors to get a head start on their parts of the project, which saved us time and money. Pleasure Pools recommended contractors for fencing and concrete. We used their recommended fence contractor (who did an excellent job), but selected our own concrete contractor (due to wanting a specific type of custom work). Ken kept in touch with the fence contractor so he knew when we would be ready for fencing - the fence installer was there the same day we started filling the finished pool with water. Ken also met with our concrete contractor while onsite and helped coordinate installation of concrete coping around the pool.
Pleasure Pools was top notch in terms of both quality and professionalism. They were extremely responsive, open to our ideas, and worked very hard to make us happy with the end result. Ken, in particular, was fantastic to work with. During the project, he helped us move and save 4 large trees - something he did not have to do. Our pool has been completed for about 2 months now and he has called us 2 times to check in, make sure we are happy, and to see if we have any questions.
I would definitely use Pleasure Pools again and give them my absolute highest recommendation for anyone considering installing a backyard pool.
didn't need, they suggested a way to fix the problem. Honest and
helpful. Wow!
With the motorized cover (and, yes, actually closing it each night) combined with the saltwater system I have almost no maintenance. I also purchased a motorized vacuum robot that I let loose about once every 2 weeks. It is a perfect match for my busy lifestyle. I can travel 5-10 days, and come home to find the family happy and swimming without any work on their part.
Plumbing and filtration is all clean and professional. It winterizes easily. Everyone who sees the pool is impressed!
I realize this is a short review, but that is sort of key here: usually you write long reviews about unhappy projects and bad contractors. There work was nice, fast, and professional. I shopped all of the usual shops in the area such as pool and spa outlet, pool designs, alpine pools, etc, etc. I hated the idea that the other shops subcontracted the work to 'the next guy in queue' They will never admit it, but at each shop they had to get the subcontractor to call and answer questions. My pool was more technical than others, and these guys were just failing at all of the answers.
Highly recommend.
