The work Mike did was beyond excellent. He is an artist at what he does. No indication that any of those pieces he repaired had been damaged. It did take a long time between his estimate and the actual work, but that's confirmation of how in demand he is. I would recommend him to anyone.

You couldn't use a charge card but I knew that upfront. He was good and he did what he said he would do and he did it quickly. I'd use him again.

I have three dining room chairs that have all received their share of scratches in the last 20 years. I decided to take one in for repair to see what kind of work Out of the Woods would do before having the other two repaired. Quite frankly the only reason I chose him besides the and quot;Angie's Listand quot; listing was because he was relatively close to my office and he stayed open until 5:30 PM. All his competitors only stayed open until 5:00. The work was done in a high quality and professional manner, and I will definitely be using him for my other two chairs in the next few weeks, however there was one and quot;fly in the ointment.and quot; He does not take credit cards. This is a bit old school and I have no problem with it in general, as I am a controller for a small company and know all about the fees credit card companies charge. The issue was I was not informed ahead of time. Had I been informed I would have blown the dust off of my checkbook and brought one when I picked up the chair. I had to run to a nearby ATM to get the cash. He was good enough to wait for me, as it was after 5:30 by this time, and the transaction was completed.

Refinish furniture

He was punctual last June when he came out to look at the furniture and to give an estimate. He was just as punctual when he and his helper came to pick up the furniture days later. I told him no rush, no hurry in getting it done. To my surprise, he called almost two weeks ago and said it was ready to be delivered. I was unable to receive delivery until today.
The dining table is beautiful again! The leg is now properly attached! No more water spots on the top or the two top inserts which were also refinished.
The butler's table now holds court in the living room instead of the basement :) The side leaves are no longer supported by L brackets, (all remnants of the screws hold them in removed) and can now be flat or folded up as intended.
Mike also advised me on the recovering of some dining chairs.
I thought Mike did a great job refurbishing my tables and I would most definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

They did both the pick-up and delivery of the table, to and from our home and were careful with that. They made repairs, including repairing the pedestal itself, and reassembling everything. They also refinished the top which had marks from excessive heat. They did a nice job.

The vanity chair is now a lovely addition to my room's decor. Mike takes pride in achieving the result a customer desires. I gave him the chair in August and it was finished in late December. It takes time but is worth the wait.
