Paul Gaunt Contracting Inc

We are very pleased with the work performed by Paul Gaunt and his crew.  We have found Paul very easy to work with, honest, and fair.  We found him to go the extra mile to ensure our complete satisfaction with the work and the pricing.  Also, his craftsmanship is excellent.  Our floors and walls are not level, plumb, or square, which made the job much more difficult.  However, Paul and his crew took the time to compensate for all these flaws and the finished product looks great. Also, the previous job resulted in a high-end, quality bathroom at a reasonable price.

Paul and his crew disappeared in the middle of the job and did not complete the remodeling of the bathroom. They left tools and equipment on site and repeated requests to contact him failed. I would not touch this contractor with a barge pole.  The overall cost of the work was around $3500. Luckily I had only paid one third of the cost of the job upfront and he and his team did about 1/3 of the work anyway. However the misery of finding another contractor in the middle of the project plus the fact that one of their shower walls was not installed straight was a huge headache. 

He had a good start on the job, but he disappeared after a week. The other workers have failed to contact me as well. It may be a health issue with him, but it seems unprofessional for them to not contact me at all.
