Family run and operated since 1932, we utilize a propane steamer to remove stubborn wallpaper or glue. We have a video on our website of our machine in action. We also hang paper and do complete wall prep and painting.
DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE!!! The father came to my house and quoted to give a price quote. The quote was for the entryway, stairs, upstairs hallway, living room and dining room. He showed me how all the walls had two layers of paper. His quote was for $2200. We explained we would think about it. A couple days later he called me and asked our decision. I told him we just could not afford that much right now. He said he has no jobs lined up right now and just wants to keep his men busy, so he would do it for $1500. I told him we would think about it. I texted him back saying we can afford $1000 and that is it. He called and said OK because it is more important to keep his crew busy. On the day of arrival, him, and his two sons showed, with a couple other guys. It was obvious right from the start, the rude one son (Tom jr) was in charge. He started looking over everything and said that there is no way they can do the job for this price. They will do just the entryway, stairs, and upstairs hallways for $1400. He said his father didn't know there was multiple layers. He said if they did all the work his father agreed to, it would be a 3-day job. Well stupid me, out of want agreed to the $1400, not getting the dining room and living room done. While they were working, it was a nightmare....water everywhere...even dripping in the basement. I had other contractors working that he was rude to and yelled at. Well they were done in 4 hours. He said he would text me with a quote for the living room and dining room later. He later texted and gave a quote for $600 more to finish them. Said it would just be a day and he would do it himself (So, much for the lie of 3 days work). I told him they should do it at no charge and honor there agreement. Which I had already paid $400 then the agreed upon price. I told him they should not send the father out if they don't trust his agreement and that was the end. They are dishonorable, rude, loud and shabby.

The crew showed up right on time, prepared the area by masking and putting up tarps including covering unmovable furniture. Crew was very professional and hard working. The overall job was excellent and we plan on using Tom's crew for other work within the house. We look forward to using Tom again.

We called Tom Miller on a Saturday after trying to remove wallpaper in our dining room. We did reseach on Miller Brothers through Angie's list as well as google. Mr. Miller has a very impressive U-Tube video showing how their company removes wallpaper with a propane steamer. He promptly returned our call and was scheduled to give us an estimate by the following week. When Mr. Miller arrived at my home he was very pompous and rude. He kept bragging at the fact that he has a "one of a kind steamer" and his GREAT U-tube video! When I mentioned that I wanted to also get a quote on painting he told me that having trim painting was time consuming and even said "Your husband must have a lot of money to throw away". He quoted me $800 to remove the wallpaper in the dining room only. When I mentioned that I had another quote from another contractor he got extremely upset and stormed out of my home! He berated me as to who the other contractor was and proceeded to tell me to hire that person. He also continued his tirade in my driveway. I found Mr. Miller to be VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and I would never hire this gentleman or his company to do any work in my home. I did hire the other contractor who by the way has a propane steamer as well.
Description of Work: Wallpaper removal in dining, room approx. size 12x14. Also wanted estimate for removal of wallpaper in living room, foyer, hallway and up stairs. Wanted estimate to include painting.

My story is pretty much told above. They removed wallpaper from two bedrooms and did some patchwork which was about the only thing they did half decent. The baseboards in my bedroom look aweful with paint coming off and my window sills have paint bubbling and chipping all around it. It's as if they just slopped on the paint real thick and fast and didn't take their time to do a good job. In my back bedroom they were sloppy with getting the colored paint on the ceiling and door frame. I had them redo that too when they came out. They were not happy about it. Quality is not a word I would use for this company at all. $4000.00 is a lot of money and it definately wasn't worth it in my opinion. If I could send pictures I would. I am very unhappy with the work this company did and do not recommend them for your needs. As I said, for this kind of money, the paint job should last for many, many years. I have had nothing but problems.
Description of Work: I contacted Miller Brother's wallpaper and painting after doing some searching on-line for reputable people to take wallpaper off of two bedrooms and to paint my bathroom also. Tom came out to give me an estimate. It went from $2000 to $4000 by the time they were done. It took them almost two weeks. I live in a row home and it's not big. After they were finished I liked their work. Within a few months I noticed that the paint in the bathroom was starting to chip off and I called them back. They came out and repainted the wall and ceiling. They never did the skylight at all. Of course I paid for all the paint. That was what the cheap part was. They repaired some cracks in three bedrooms. They painted the three bedrooms and the bathroom. As time went on, I noticed that the bathroom paint was chipping again. They came back out and "fixed" it again. I don't believe they primed it correctly and may have used the wrong paint. It is now two and a half years later and the bathroom needs to be redone as the paint is chipped off the ceiling, the walls and where the shower pole is. I also noticed that the baseboards were sloppily painted and now the paint is all bubbling on my window sills and coming off. I will not call them back to come and fix this again. I will find the time to do it myself. I am very aggravated with their work. I don't think that in this short amount of time I should be having these problems. A professional paint job should last for many years. Their website boasts lots of happy customers and not one bad reply. Of course not. I am here to tell you that I have pictures of the shoddy work they did in my bathroom and now pictures of my window sills. They saw me coming!

The owner of the company personally arrived to compile an estimate for the requested work. He arrived on time, listened to our families' needs, and budget requirements. After spending about an hour with us, it was explained we should expect a pricing breakdown for the services discussed. The totals were provided the following day as promised. It was extremely thorough, listing multiple options with a written guarantee once the selection was made there would be no "hidden" charges or "add-on's." Another extremely nice feature worth noting was no money was expected until each phase of the project was completed to our satisfaction. (The phases were clearly broken out on the pricing form). Once the selected service option was decided upon, we simply agreed to a start date to begin the project. They were very flexible and accommodating to our schedule as it was around the holiday season. We were specifically advised of their work schedule and estimated time for completion, by both the crew and very hands-on owner. They arrived on time every morning and completed the job without adding additional days. The staff was extremely polite and courteous. They made every effort to clean up before they left each evening and minimize the dust as we had a newborn in the home. They always kept us posted as to the progress and made themselves available to address any questions or concerns. They were very respectful of our home and worked without our being present, letting themselves out through the back door each evening. The finished product looks fantastic with painted walls appearing new again. We would highly recommend Miller Brother's for anyone looking to have wallpaper removed and/or painting completed in their home.
Description of Work: We had wallpaper removed and subsequently painted in several areas of our home. This included our living room, dining room, child's playroom, entrance way and hallways. Further, the wallpaper was on our ceilings and stair case as well. The job was very labor intensive and we had already tried to hire one company that failed to deliver on the given "price guarantee" once a deposit was paid. Miller Brother's utilized their own steamer with water (no chemicals) to remove multiple layers of wallpaper/paint. After the wallpaper was successfully taken down, the walls were repaired/prepped and painted.

As we are out of town, we had to arrange for Miller Brothers to come on a weekend, which they did. They have special steaming equipment and tools which let them remove the old kitchen paper without damaging the wall underneath. They removed the paper, then came back a few days later to repair the plaster (damaged by the homeowner, not by them!), prime, paint, and install new base and shoe moldings. The crew hung plastic sheets to avoid damaging the cabinets, countertops, and appliances, and hung additional plastic sheets at the doorway to prevent the moisture from damaging other parts of the house. Today the kitchen looks like new! Based on the quality of their work we asked them to patch settling cracks in living room ceiling, paint the main level ceilings, and paint the bedrooms, and the house today looks almost new. The men sent to work on the house were careful to use drop cloths to avoid drips on the carpet, there are no signs of any cracks, and the men cleaned up after themselves being very careful to leave no debris behind. In addition, Tom Miller helped us locate additional contractors who charged reasonable prices and did outstanding work -- comparable in quality to his. Without the quality of work that Tom's crews performed and his assistance I don't know how we could have coped.
Description of Work: We were readying the house for an estate sale. Much of the 50 years of kitchen wallpaper (3 or 4 layers, none of them strippable) had peeled away from the wall, but the rest could not be removed on a do-it-yourself basis not matter how hard we tried. We called in Miller Brothers, who removed the old wallpaper, patched damage from the previous homeowner, primed, painted, and mounted new baseboard and shoe moldings. Based on the quality of the work they performed we asked them to patch the settling crack in the living room ceiling, paint the main level ceilings, and paint the bedrooms.
