No BS, this guy is a genius. He was the perfect blend of skill and execution, not rushing the work, but took great care and pride in each window as each presented a different and very formidable challenge. -many were tucked up into the tops of the original openings -many were sunk down into the original sills and were taking on water, which was running inside the walls -many were installed in the original wooden storm window sashes -they were all very out of square - as they had not had lintels installed originally & bricks were falling out above, etc. (that initial masonry work was taken care of by another contractor last spring) -only two were actually able to lock -one actually fell out -most needed significant re-framing He was not the cheapest estimate we got, but he was the only one prepared to take on one of the 16 windows, which presented a particular challenge. It required significant reshaping of the opening, including cutting through exterior brick, interior finished wall surfaces, shrinking the opening away from some roof fascia, which was crowding the original opening, and he matched the window below it perfectly. Excellent communication and daily cleanup, waste disposal, etc. The capping is beautiful. You could turn a fire hose on the exterior now and everything would be fine. His finish work (a few interior sills, which had been damaged by earlier water penetration, and very simple trim to match the rest of the house) was not part of the original agreement, but it came out very nice too. My wife still hasn't seen it finished yet, as she has been on the road the last three weeks, but my tail is wagging and I can't wait until she sees our house!
