DECORWOOD INTERIORS

Bob was very responsive. We searched for a local painter in our area on the Internet (Not on Angie's List....the experience we had caused us to join) and found Decorwood Interiors. We read through every customer review on the site and looked at every before and after picture and needless to say the reviews were stellar and the pictures were beautiful. I am not sure if these were real testimonials or ones he had posted himself but shame on me for not checking into this company further than what was on his site. Anyway we emailed him and he called us back within one hour on a Sunday night.....we thought that was incredible and thought wow what responsiveness this guy must be good. He agreed to meet us the next night after work to look at our home and to provide us an estimate. The next day he showed up on time and looked at everything......he also told us all the things he would change here as well like expanding rooms, redoing our bathroom etc.... Anyway, he gave us a quote for $2,430.00 and told us we were lucky he had a cancelation and he could start tomorrow......this should have been my first indicator as anyone worth their salt does not have the next three days open to paint at the spur of the moment but we believed him......again, shame on me. Also, he said we had to go to Home Depot and buy all our own paint as this was not in his quote......weird I know but we never used a painter before so we were not sure. Bob (The Owner) showed up the next day at 8am and we gave him $400.00 cash as a deposit and we left for work. Needless to say all day we were so excited to come home and see our new paint job and we finally arrived home we were so very disappointed......I can't stress enough how disappointed we were. First of all there are literally A 100 different spots where we can see spackle under the paint......bumps, waves, gouges etc... They did not even remove electrical face plates but painted around them and on them. There are paint marks on the ceiling where they "cut in" and the where the ceiling meets the wall there are numerous spots where the paint did not even go through. The trim is the most disappointing of all.....they did not even wipe it down and there are pieces that are not even painted. The white baseboard paint is on the newly painted walls and they did not even tape anything up. In the kitchen there are nap marks in the paint from either an old roller or a bad one but there is thread like material in our paint on the walls. Overall we are very dissatisfied and have a lot of work to do to fix everything he screwed up.....not only do I NOT want him back in our home to try and fix ALL OF HIS MISTAKES I would never ever recommend him to even my worst enemy let alone a friend. I will now be using Angie's List before I use another contractor again.....

ALL WORK WAS DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER AND MY WORK SCHEDULE WASN'T INTERRUPTED AT ALL. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE TO ANYONE IN THE FUTURE INTERESTED IN THIS TYPE OF WORK. THANK YOU VERY MUCH ANGIE'S LIST.

WE HAD HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR THIS WORK. THEY EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. DECORWOOD STUCK TO THEIR AGREED UPON PRICE AND DID NOT TRY TO RAISE IT. THEY ARE A VERY RELIABLE HOME CONTRACTOR.

THE WORKMEN WERE PUNCTUAL, POLITE & PROFESSIONAL. EXCELLENT WORK & REASONABLY PRICED.
