my experience with Red Hot Carpet was excellent! I had kicked a can of white paint onto a green carpet, then walked through it. Nevin was able to remove the paint stain, and you can't even tell that it happened! Booking an appointment was easy and fast! My carpets look excellent and that's a miracle too Dogs & grandkids!)!

Nevin arrived (on time) to provide and estimate for shampooing of 7 rooms. 3 of the 7 rooms were dated warn carpet and 4 rooms were newer and in good condition with no significant stains. Nevin provided an original price-apparently based solely on square footage-of $729.00. I told Nevin that was more than I expected to pay and he reduced the price to $700 but offered no additional reduction/discount. Because of the Covid 19 concerns I was not present in the house for the cleaning and agreed to have Nevin text me when complete. Before I left, Nevin told me he would be done in 2 and 1/2 hours. I was shocked that a job that only took 2 and 1/2 hours (and used few materials except cleaning soap and deodorizer) should cost $700. However, I did not argue bc I was between a rock and hard place with a family that needed to move into a clean home in the midst of the Covid-19 concerns. Nevin texted me that the job was complete at just under 2 hours an 20 minutes. I inspected the carpets, and the 3 dated rooms appeared cleaner and somewhat brighter and the other 4 rooms also looked acceptable. I did agree to the quoted price, but I believe that I was taken advantage of under unusual cover-19 scare. I texted Nevin to let him know that I felt the price was unfair and that i felt that I had been taken advantage of. His position was that bc I agreed to the price and that because he believes his process is better than his competetors that my concern was not valid. Anyone who uses this business should judge for themselves whether $700 is fair compensation for 2 hours and 20 minutes of carpet cleaning. And you should inquire as to specific process and the time involved before you agree to the price.

Our price is by the square footage to make the cost fairer, as it based on the size of the rooms and not the number of rooms being cleaned. Tax and total the estimate was $728 in which you countered with $700 in which I agreed to do. With our years of service and expertise in this area, when a house is empty we are able to perform our job much more efficiently, which cuts down on time. The quality, professionalism, and end result that our company provides to our customers is what we sell, not the amount of time it takes for us to complete a job. In no way were we trying to take advantage of you. Even with COVID-19, we did not raise our prices. We even incorporated new safety procedures and disinfecting products absorbing the additional cost. As a small business, our reputation is what we rely on to earn new customers, especially in a great place like State College, PA. We did call to discuss your concerns but unfortunately got hung up on. You are welcome to DM us if you wish to discuss this further."

Nevin was great! I am a shoes off at the door person, so I didn't think my carpets were that bad (especially my upstairs), but after he was finished the difference was remarkable. I have always been a cat owner so there were several spots on my light beige carpet that I couldn't get clean, but he was able to do so. My carpets are 14 years old and they look brand new. He was quick but thorough and explaining everything. I highly recommend his services and won't hesitate to call him again.

Went very well. One room had an oil stain from shoes. There was no sign of it when the job was finished. The carpets looked like new. I was pleased that it was "green" and my cat could walk on it right away.

Nevin measured and thoroughly examined each room and had the invoice ready for me to sign before he started, so there were no surprise charges. He's also clearly knowledgeable and passionate about his work and taking care of his customers. We had a burn mark from a vacuum and he explained before he started that it wasn't physically possible to remove it from our type of polyester carpet, so that I wouldn't have any unreasonable expectations. Additionally, due to a clogged HVAC filter that our landlord didn't fix, we had black buildup along the tops of our stairs and in the closets. I had assumed that it might improve a little, but by the time he was done, the stairs were immaculate. He let me know before he left that because the closets are a small confined space, it was harder to get the equipment in to reduce the buildup, but I thought it was significantly improved as well. I really appreciated his honesty and that he never made any promises that he couldn't keep. I had asked him when I scheduled if he could finish before the final inspection with my landlord, and he delivered. He took about 2.5 hours to finish our 3 bedroom house, including initial inspection and packing up his equipment. He cleaned nearly 900 sq ft and 28 stairs in that time. Nevin was very easy to work with and his automated systems (online scheduling, text reminders for appointment, digital and paper receipts) made a difficult move much easier. I thought the value we received was amazing and I highly recommend him!

I contacted Red Carpet and the owner, Nevin, replied immediately. We setup a time to meet and go through the house. Nevin was extremely professional in every way. He told me exactly what he would do and when he could fit me in his schedule. He was very accommodating to my needs. I was very surprised and extremely pleased with the results. My carpets looked brand new. I was blown away with the basement as this is where the grandkids play all the time.

Niven was responsive, on time, and conscientious. We have two large dogs who leave our carpet and couch oily, dirty, and smelly. We usually clean the carpets and couch once a year and have used several different companies. Red Hot left our carpets and couch cleaner than anyone else we have used, Niven takes his job seriously. He cleans as though he is cleaning his own home.

Two things impressed me about Nevin's work. First of all, he did an amazing job. I have not seen my grout this clean since it was new. I have cleaned it myself on hands and knees but could not get it this clean. I also had Stanley Steamer do it once and the outcome was not as good. Secondly, Nevin is very knowledgeable and helped me with all of my questions - recommended products to use, etc.
