CARPET CO-OP OUTLET

Brian Evans, owner of Carpet Co-Op, was recommended to me by one of the contractors working on my home. Boy do I regret giving him a call. He defrauded me out of $3,000 and I have filed a complaint with the PA State Attorney General's Office in regard to this fraud. I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere for your flooring needs. Brian's only interest is in getting you to sign an illegal contract of adhesion. A contract that is illegal under the PA Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act (Google it if you don't know about it). If you choose to deal with Carpet Co-Op he will lie to you endlessly in an attempt to get your money. When I asked him to return my money because he had done no work and ordered no materials, I called the flooring manufacturer who verified this. Brian laughed at me and told me to sue him, because he had been sued before. He is the exact reason why states like PA make laws to protect homeowners from unscrupulous and fraudulent home improvement contractors.

so far not so good, was advised by his front man that the price on the carpet and flooring included everything, by the time the owner came with the cost all we got was the total price. no breakdown on per square yard or footage given. Said we had to pay over 3/4 of the total cost now and would be approximately 2 weeks for installation on wood flooring longer for carpet as that had to be ordered. Called to question exact cost of all left a message requesting the information have never heard from him. It has been two weeks this Monday that he has cashed our check. Called business again today request owner, front man said he was due in at 4pm and he will call us today with the info we had requested plus the info of when we can expect installation to start. AGAIN NO PHONE CALL. Owner Brian is not a business man, doesn't do any of the installations, doesn't remember what you tell him nor does he remember the lies he has told you! I would not recommend him to my worst enemy and have no plans on having him come in to install flooring on my second floor bedrooms. I finally have the carpet installed but still waiting on the flooring which is supposed to be next week (July 12th if he shows up) Now that we are forced to have Carpet Co-Op do the work we have heard from many of our friends that they would never have them do any work for them again.

When the installer showed up, two days late, I was busy with something else, so I did not talk to him at first. Whan I did go out to see him I noticed Immediately that he was on some kind of drug, He was slurring and staggering, the work he had done so far was a mess. The next morning I went to the store to complain and the owner just wanted to fight. I had to get someone else to finish the job and repair all the mistakes. I also had to go to the local magistrate about it.
