They provided a unique install of a pellet stove years ago, so we’ve stuck with them for cleaning service and pellet delivery. We encountered huge service issues in 2021 which resulted in the need for four repeat visits to get it right due to them showing up without the proper equipment or number of hands needed to complete the job even though we properly communicated that when we originally booked. We paid several service charges until they got it right, and are still paying on electric bills needed during the time they couldn’t come through for us. We called to book in June 2022 (due to them knowing our build and history only) and booked for Sept 15th. On Sept 14th they called us to tell us they refuse to service us any longer leaving us to find another provider in peak season without warning and having to pay premium pricing. When asked to speak to the owner we were laughed at. When reminded that the difficulties stem from their own install, we were told “ugh, here we go again” and then we were hung up on. Please be very wary of this business as they clearly have no respect for human decency or ethical business behavior. Their decision impacts the heating of a home for five.

Kring's has been to my home more than 3 times times trying to fix a Heat and Glo fireplace. It blew up in the workers hands, and then he proceeded to yell that it was my fault for faulty wiring. It seemed to me that he was very worried that he might have to pay for the part. His behavior was accusatory and rude, to say the least. As it turned out, according to the manual, it was wired perfectly fine. Krings took absolutely no responsibility for the accident and proceeded to insist that I pay the full amount (about $400) and all the labor hours (many) to fix this. NOW, after two month, multiple visits and nearly a thousand dollars later, the entire fireplace does not work AT ALL! They are refusing to come out to fix it at all. They have been rude and only seem to care about the cost of things, not about getting things done right. I do NOT recommend them at all! Not for cleaning, not for fixing.

They do not appear to know what they are doing. I called Krings in September 2013 as my fireplace would not start when the switch was turned on. The service tech came out and cleaned the fireplace. Not sure if he checked to see what the problem was. A couple of weeks later the problem started again and I called Krings. They scheduled another service call (which I had to pay for) and I had them out on 2/28/14. The tech checked the unit, said it was a bad valve. He did not have one on his truck and said they would have to order it. I said go ahead and prepaid for the valve and they scheduled another service call (which I had to pay for again). The tech replaced the valve and said the problem was fixed. Total charges to date from Krings were around $500. A week or so later the problem started again but I had given up on Krings. On 11/15/14, I called Firestarters to check the fireplace. He checked he unit, said it never was the valve and it was the Thermopile which should have been easy to diagnose. He fixed the system (cost $169.00) and it works fine now. I do not recommend Krings at all and suggest you call Firestarters if you have a problem with a gas fireplace.

The first time they came out, they cleaned the thing and it didn't work. I had them back again and they couldn't fix it and each time I got charged. I am not thrilled. What stood out was that he didn't fix my problem, other than that; he seemed like a nice guy. When they came the second time, I said, at least only charge me for parts this time but they said they couldn't do that and they charged me for parts and labor. They were on time.

These guys are great!.
Dennis was upfront with the pricing and very knowledgeable on the insert I bought. Another guy came out for the measurements at no additional charge and everything went smooth. Once the measurements were done, Dennis called me back with a minor change in the quote, understandable, I think he even mentioned this as a possibility on day one. They squeezed me in on short notice to get this done before the holidays. Day of install, the guys were on time, professional and did a great job.
I even shopped around before I signed with Krings, its now 3 months later and still no regrets.

After visiting three other dealers in a 50 mile area in three weeks, we decided to stop into Kring's after family brunch. I was tired of being and quot;soldand quot; and talking, so Matt started talking to us. He explained the differences among the types and brands. It was not a hard sell. He taught us how to clean them, what to expect from installation, and what we needed to know about exhaust pipe locations. He was not overly tied to one of his brands.
Matt insisted on a site visit before finalizing the quote. I did not ask, but it is what I wanted. This is the difference between Kring's and the others. They wanted me to purchase first.
After Matt's visit, he handed us off to one of his other salesman to complete the deal, Mike, who was extremely responsive via e-mail.
The quote was lower than several we received. We purchased right away. Scheduled the install for 2 weeks later.
The install completed successfully with a very professional crew, right before a cold spell.
We are extremely happy! Not only for the cheaper than propane heating solution, but for the cozy room, and the dealer that we hope to build a long relationship with.

We were satisfied with the serviceman that did it. The guy was reliable. I don't know how reasonably priced he was, because we only looked at two people. But he was able to come and do the job. It was a good experience. With regard to quality, I am not there to judge it, because I have a tenant in there. But she is happy with it.

I spoke with jerry from the sales office, he was very informative. Matt came out to evaluate whether or not they could install the system. Then two gentlemen came out to install everything for me. I ordered a Jotul enamel propane stove and there was a wait for delivery as they had to place a special order. They installed a regular propane stove in the meantime and did not charge me until the stove I originally ordered came in. They also did not charge me while I used the l loaner stove. I was very impressed with their workmanship; they were very creative and knowledgeable in field. I felt comfortable with them in my home and they cleaned up thoroughly.

The whole process with Krings was a great experience. We received a great deal of helpful information from the sales person when we were initially looking at the unit that we intended to purchase. He was very informative and helpful in describing everything that we needed to know and do for the purchase and installation. The installation team did a great job of setting up the wood stove and were also very pleasant to deal with. I would definitely recommend looking at Krings if you were in the market for a new wood stove.

He said it was clean, and when it still didn't work I asked him to clean the chimney and he said it wasn't his department. I had to pay him for the cleaning which wasn't what I asked him to come out for in the first place.

THE GUY KNEW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT.. HE WAS FAMILIAR WITH THE STOVE AND TOLD ME IT WOULD BE UNDER $300 TO REPAIR, BUT THAT I SHOULDN'T USE THE STOVE UNTIL IT WAS FIXED. HE FIXED IT ABOUT THREE COLD DAYS LATER AND WE WERE PLEASED.
