After seeing pictures of his previous work, we hired Tim to install what amounted to a 50-foot walkway and to cover our poured-concrete front stoop/landing with pavers to match the new walkway. His lead time was about 2 weeks, which he was upfront about, and was in constant contact with us about any updates to the time frame. His initial estimate of 2 weeks was pretty much spot on, and he arrived early each day with his crew to get started. Start to finish, it took them about 4 days. Considering they had to relocate some of our shrubs, re-grade the portion of the flowerbed between the house and the new walkway (as well as the lawn on the other side of the walkway), and route 2 of our downspouts under the new walkway and fit them with pop-up emitters so that we didn't have an erosion problem (or ice problem in the winter), all in addition to installing the walk, I have to say I was pretty impressed. The new walkway and landing look even better than we hoped, and we've gotten many compliments from our neighbors about the quality of it. One of our neighbors even hired Tim to do their back patio after seeing our walkway.
I would hire Tim in a heartbeat if I had any additional landscaping or hardscaping work that needed to be done. In fact, I actually already did. I had been meaning to bury my sump pump outlet hose for a few years but never got around to doing it. I called Tim, who happened to be installing our neighbor's patio at the time, and he came over during one of his breaks and quoted me on the cost. We agreed to do the work and the very next day when I got home from work it was already done. Truly a stand-up guy.
We were confident that this job would be no different.
Tim arrived at our house in April 2015 to put our thoughts to paper and design a walkway that was not overstated, but compliment our home. Tim was patient and prepared to listen to our ideas. After about an hour, we came up with plan for a walkway and landscaping. Tim would have an estimate for us in a couple of weeks. We received the estimate and found that we could not fit the landscaping into our budget. Tim was flexible enough to give us another estimate without the landscaping and even offered to edge out the area where the landscaping would be installed. We accepted the estimate and made a down payment.
Work began on June 24, 2015. Tim's crew arrived early to begin work. All went well for the next two days. Tim's crew worked hard to get the walkway in before the we had anymore rain. The work was completed the following Monday. The flower beds were edged out as promised. Tim also offered to seed the areas he disturbed, as well as, other areas disturbed by some previous construction we had done. Was not expecting that, but was appreciated.
In summary, my wife and I were very satisfied with the walkway and the work that Tim and his crew performed. It looks great and really compliments our home. Thank you Tim and crew.
His team did a fantastic job with the installation, they were very professional and the work was done on time and on budget. Tim followed up with and small issues and ensured we were satisfied with the work that was done.
I highly recommend his work and his team, they did a great job. We have received many compliments on the new walkway and it has changed the look of our house for the better.
It took a bit longer to schedule the work then I'd been told. But once it was scheduled the work proceeded without further delay.
All old overgrown and neglected plants were removed from around the garage. The new beds were laid out, planted and mulched.
The job also included removing some other large, old bushes and sodding/seeding the area where they'd been. It took about a day and a half to complete all the work.
I look forward to seeing how the gardens develop in the coming years!
