Mr. Graci provided a perspective buyer of my home with a report that indicated numerous serious problems with the house. He only came into the garage and never went to the first and second floors of the home and never climbed a ladder to throughly investigate the upper areas of the outside of the house. Despite this he made claims about interior floors and outside walls. His report was so disturbing that I hired another structural engineer to inspect the house. This engineer entered every room in the house, climbed a ladder to inspect the outside walls, and took measurements of cracks. His report refuted all but a small fraction of Mr. Graci’s report. I also had a contractor inspect the house, areas of his expertise, and his findings refute Mr. Graci. Therefore, I would be very careful and hesitant to hire Mr. Graci! He did not do professional work as it related to my house.

I am disappointed that I had to provide such low grades to the items that I didn't mark as N/A. I have reached out to Franklin Engineering several times by phone as well as through Angie's List. I have not received any replies back to my outreach, so it's hard for me to assess any aspect of their service beyond responsiveness. If they are too busy to take on my project, then a brief message to that effect would have been more than adequate. Hopefully, others are receiving some response and can provide a more comprehensive report.

It was fabulous. He came on time, just like he said. He was easy to talk to. He educated me on the procedures that needed to be done in a way that I could understand. He listened to me and he gave me what I needed. It was very comfortable in dealing with him.

Joe gave me a date and time after I got the information from Angie's List and gave him a call.  He called me the day before to confirm the appointment and arrived promptly.  He walked around the property taking pictures and looking at the structural damage that the tree had caused.  He also examined my outside drain and drain pipe and explained to me that there could be damage in the ground that I could not see.  He put together a full report with pictures and I passed it on to Jamison Masonry who will be doing the work. Joe told me that if the I or the contractor had any questions he would contact him directly.

Was looking to hire them for a Structural engineering review. Had to postpone the plan due to other reasons.

Mr. Bank has been very supportive as we just purchased the house in July and went through so much trouble with this wall as there was water damage behind the plaster on the first floor. Our inspector (US Inspect) didn't catch the problem. Mr. Banks said he would support us if we wanted to pursue them to cover the costs of the damage as it was well over $10,000 and should have been seen by the inspector from US inspect. Mr. Banks is a great person and engineer and we are happy to have had his services and support. Mr. Banks delivered our plans and official engineering report on time. His walk through was thorough and detailed. 

Joe was very pleasant to work with! He was accommadting to my schedule, and very helpful. We spoke a few times over the phone and via email before the structural cert took place, and he was very thoughtful and even reached out to my contractor to make sure the work was going to be done right. He even gave me a heads up on things I should consider. Very thorough and read my whole inspection report before coming to the job. I recommend!

Mark Grimadli received the report from FEI construction and followed through in a superior way and did complete what the report stated must be done.  His crew was large and professional and no fooling around.  Just fabulous.  And I had two other structural engineers over the years that I have lived in this house, and both pale in comparison to Jor Graci.  I can't believe that I finally connected with a Structural Engineer and Contractor who were above board, did superior work and did not rip me off;

Not sure Joe Graci exists or the company still exists.  I requested a written approval of the work done; he said he would send it.  Never received it.  I've called him at the number on his business card; I've called and emailed him at the number and email address provided on this site leaving messages each time as to reason I was calling, left my phone number for a call back and email address where he could send the approval - specifically said he didn't have to call me back if he didn't want to but please send a copy of the written approval for the work he orally approved - no response, ever.

Joe Graci arrived on time at my house to assist me identifying needed repairs to my house for possible sale.  Joe is a very knowledgeable, friendly, and honest professional engineer.  He has a "sharp eye" and found several areas needing correction, things I would never have thought of.  He answered my many concerns in a supportive and thorough manner.  Joe developed thorough documentation and, on his own initiative,  promised to provide this information to a reliable contractor in a manner which I would not have been able to.
   I am very fortunate to have found Joe Graci through Angie's List and to be the beneficiary of his experience, integrity, and kindness.  I highly recommend Joe Graci.

I was buying a house and during inspection there was termite damage on a joist in the basement.  The seller agreed to get the repairs done.  The joist was sistered properly but they were not pocketed into the foundation wall like the original joists.  The general inspector recommended I get a structural engineer to take a look at it.
I ended up buying the house and then contacting Franklin Engineering.  Joe Graci spoke to me over the phone and set up an appointment for the following week.  He showed up on time and was very professional.  He gave me 3 options for a proper repair along with rough cost of each and he advised me on how long each repair could be expected to last.  I decided on getting a lally column installed and he even drew up a picture to show how the top plate should be offset.
He told me to contact him after getting a contractor so that he could talk to them about the work that was required.  He also walked around the property and gave me options to improve the property drainage.
He was professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful.  He gave detailed answers and explanations, provided a report within 3 days.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to my friends, I would definately give him a call and have him do an inspection on any future property that I would buy.

My girlfriend and I hired out Franklin Engineering and we couldn't be more pleased. We found them on Angie's list when they house we were buying needed to be examined by an engineer. Joe was very responsive and his secretary was very easy to speak with during follow-up calls Joe was very much on top of things and even showed up to the property 3 hours early. When speaking with him we were able to feel at ease because it wasn't hard to tell that he knows his stuff. We settled on the house and will probably use Franklin Engineering before we decide to take down any walls or change any roof lines. Thanks for a great experience.

Emailed a detailed request for a structural issue I wanted to review on my home's renovation.  Sent  email to provider on 7/25/13.  Never received any response.  Thought they could have at least responded.  I've since hired another firm and the evaluation is complete.

The gentleman who owns the company came and was very through and professional. He came on time, talked to me in terms that I would understand and did a thorough job of reviewing the situation in the building. I was overall very pleased.

We were under a very tight deadline for the inspection process. Through Angie's List we contacted Franklin Engineering and outlined our requirements. Mr. Joe Graci fit us into his schedule and showed up the very next day. He spent several hours with us and carefully reviewed with us all the structural issues with the property that we were buying. We learned a great deal about the property and the issues that we faced. The owner made several modification which damaged the integrity of the structure and without Mr. Graci's help we might have missed these items which require significant funds to repair. We received a very comprehensive engineering report complete with pictures and cost estimates to repair the issues he identified within 2 days. Mr. Graci knows his business and we highly recommend his services.

I am in the process of refinancing and there was a tiny crack on the chimney. The new company wanted a structural engineer to certify that the structure was sound. So, he came out and told me that it was sound. He recommended that I fill in the tiny cracks and also told me how to do it. I then did that and I sent them the new pictures. The company then wanted him to re-inspect it, which he did. He told me that he normally charges $475, but this sounded like a more nuisance thing than an actual disaster thing. So, he only charged me $275 since it was such a tiny crack. He was right there every time I needed him and responded to every question I asked him and every e-mail I sent him. He was wonderful. The price was excellent. The other people that I had called were going to charge me more. He made my refinancing go much smoother. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.
