The problem was repaired, but they did not recover and save the hard-drive and all the information on it. Any reasonably intelligent adolescent could save and recover hard drive information. We have had other computers "crash" that Compuworld did not repair, and preserving the hard-drive information was not a problem, even if the computer had to be replaced. That they did not even give us back the hard-drive, they discrarded it, which was criminal. They are morons and I would never use them or recommend them to anyone.

"We are sorry hear that you lost your valuable data. We believe everybody must always backup the valuable data. Toshiba paid us to fix your computer, which we replaced the bad hard drive, We returned the bad drive to Toshiba. Again we didn't discard Toshiba hard drives, and you never asked for the data recovery on the bad hard drive. Everybody knows the factory warranties do not cover Data Recovery."

I have bought about five computers from them over the years. I have found that their service after the sale is outstanding. Their prices are generally better than larger competitors, as well.

The salesperson was polite when I dropped it off. They were unable to give me an estimate of how much it would cost to fix and promised to call in a week and let me know. Over a week went by and they didn't call, so I called them. They weren't able to tell me the status when I called, but I received a call the next day to pick up the computer. The computer works fine, and I haven't had any more trouble since.

THE EMPLOYEE AT COMPUWORLD WAS VERY FRIENDLY ANDKNOWLEDGEABLE ON THIS TOPIC. HE MADE SURE I UNDERSTOOD HOW TO DO EVERYTHING AND WAS VERY COURTEOUS.
