It started off fine - tech arrived a half hour late, but he was polite, and a very tidy worker. When he finished the job the shower would not drain. Drain was clear, but the shower floor ran uphill toward the drain. Everyone knows that won't work. I had to sweep the water to the drain. When I called the office they said they did not have anyone who could come back out for a week. Then, a full week later, they sent the same tech. He was clearly out of his element. He built another "mud" floor over the bad tile job... it did not slope toward the drain either. He walked off the job and quit the company. When I called the office again, apparently they did not realize the fellow had quit. I was told the owner was on vacation. So, yet another a week later, when the owner finally got back to me - he said they would send Martin's Flooring of Lancaster, at Bathtub Doctor's expense, out to fix the shower floor. At this point, I should note that we have only one bathing facility in our house, and it was useless, and had been that way since May 30, 2017. We had to rely on the kindness of local family who allowed us to bathe at their home. And while we are grateful that family came through for us, it was a hardship to have to travel for a bath at someone else's home. It was yet another week before Martin's was able to get to our house for the preliminary inspection of the work that needed to be done. Then another week and a half before they were able to do the work. Sam from Martins was competent, polite, clean, and best of all - he understood that water will not run uphill to drain. Sam successfully completed the job. Bathtub Doctor started the job on May 30, 2017 and it was not satisfactorily completed until July 11, 2017. That is a long to be without one's only bathing facility. Brian from Bathtub Doctor said he didn't realize we were without any shower. I do not know why he didn't comprehend that. He came to my home for the initial estimate. I mentioned that it was our only bathing facility then; furthermore, I mentioned it in subsequent emails and in messages left at his office. Let me say that Bathtub Doctor showed absolutely no sense of urgency to repair the problem they created. And to date, they have not called to follow up. Sam from Martin's did call several days later - just to see how things were.
