We were very pleased with Rick's Sheds. Their showroom and shed lot was expansive and we could take as long as we wanted to select a prebuilt shed. We got a discount as it was a used shed and had more room and features that would otherwise have cost hundreds more. We had a site inspector visit promptly and the shed was delivered soon after. Rick's professional crew were experts in moving this 10 by 16 ft building from their vehicle into my backyard and positioned it squarely on the foundation they had built the day before. Nothing but complements to this business!

Everything was fine from salesmanship at the store, to foundation install, and the shed being delivered right on time. They take care of every detail so there is no concerns for the buyer. Job well done!

A recent reviewer called his experience with this company maddening.  Precisely correct.  Planned to buy both a shed and gazebo.  Ordered the $25 refundable site evaluation.  When it was time to pay, the price mysteriously doubled to $50, only half refundable because they have a distance rule which is revealed after the sales pitch.  One mile over the limit and the price doubles.  But I was assured I would have an accurate and comprehensive site evaluation.  The evaluator arrived without even bringing a level, but eyeballed the site with a tape measure and declared it 18 inches out of level.  He said that they would build a square foundation for the octagon because "they never got them right" but I could put plants on the corners that would extend four feet out from the structure.  I did not agree with his evaluation and sent a picture using a straight edge and a level to the argumentative office worker who follows up these visits, but that was ignored.  Their price was extremely high, double some of the prices I received.  They cited the extreme degree to which the site was alleged to be out of level and the distance from their location.  I gave the name of one highly rated foundation company from Angie's List with their price and she said that sometimes foundations are so out of level that they could not deliver the structures.

After several frustrating exchanges I decided to buy the final products from other vendors.  I received a perfect octagon shaped foundation, perfectly level, no need to put plants out on the corners, from the foundation company that I found elsewhere for $500 less than "Rick's" price.  And I got a beautiful gazebo from Lan-Chester Sheds in Middletown which provided excellent customer service and a very friendly and helpful staff.  I wish they were listed in Angie's List.   I wasted $50 on this vendor, and my "C" grade was a generous one.  In an area with many positive and collaborative vendors selling quality Amish built sheds it is not necessary to do business with anyone who offers less than excellent customer service.

Working with these people has been the most madding experience.  I schedule the site visit, and the guy calls to move it to a time when I can't be at home.   He tells me it is no big deal I don't have to be there.  Sure it is a big deal, I want to decide where the shed is going.  Had to schedule with a second guy to come out to determine where the shed would go which required me calling them several times since they don't call anyone back.  Finally Victor,  the only polite and profession person working for this company was scheduled to come to   Several weeks later Victor returned to prepare the site, a foundation had to be build since the ground is very uneven.   Victor and his team did this all in the pouring rain.   The work seems to be okay and structurally sound but we will see once the shed arrives.    I asked when the shed should arrive Victor told me call the office and they can tell me where it is in production-  and he reminded me it takes 4-6 weeks to complete.    My husband called to see where it was in production, we were at week 5 of the 6.   The unprofessional and very lazy person that answered the phone said it takes 6 weeks and they will call us when it is done.   They couldn't tell us anything, like it has another week or we got delayed because we have a part on back order.   NO they said they couldn't tell us anything because it is not SIX weeks.    Well now its the Wednesday before the six week time frame and I called to see what is going on and to get it on the schedule since the holiday are right around the corner,  I got told they couldn't schedule because they don't know where it is in production.    I said can't we schedule the delivery- I want to set it for the week before Christmas-  plenty of time it would be more than 8 weeks from when I ordered it   NO they can't do that-  they will call me when it is ready.  So I asked isn't it going to be ready by Friday, since that would be SIX weeks,   She tells me I don't know why you keep saying SIX weeks.   UGH!   When I lost my temper because I am just tired of the run around- she told me she was going to just put the phone down and walk away-   Instead of getting me answers or solving my problem she was going to just walk away like a two year old - this person claimed to be an owner by the name of Carrie -  The owner is going to just walk away and not answer the questions.   I am now waiting to see if, this owner person Carrie will call me back with the information - She needed to call the shop to see where it is in production- which is a line,  if she was the owner or even a manager she would have to know where things are in production or at least have a report that would tell her.   Still waiting for a shed, no clue if it will ever arrive or how many more calls I need to make to get it. I recommend going out to Lancaster to get your shed- you might pay a little more but the service is better.  The people at Ricks are not interested in customer service, they just want to sit around collecting a pay check.

Amazing from start to finish. Rick's Sheds was responsive to all my questions. Their team was professional and clean in removing the old shed and delivering the new one. I'm now quite proud of my shed.

It went well. They gave an estimate. Had a catalog of different sheds available and the options of those sheds. Were on time and told me what I had to do to get the area ready for the install. I had to move a bush and cuts some bushes back to get the truck where they needed to drop the shed. The shed is great and install went exactly as they said it would.

Excellent from beginning to end. Excellent selection, showroom and lot. Great sales people, informed but not pushy. Quality product and responsive company. Very Punctual. Somewhat expensive from what I was able to compare but overall fair price.

Overall experience was great. Designed the shed to our specifications and looks great. Price very reasonable. Removal of old shed was needed and most places will not provide that service but Rick's Shed came in and took the old shed away no problems!

All went very well. Demolition took about two days. The building of the prefab shed took all of one day. The workers were quite professional and worked tirelessly all day to complete the shed. We are very pleased with how it looks!
