"• In response to [member name removed] desired resolution, we would be willing to offer the following: We have already processed the refund check for the full amount of the cost of relocating the AC line, rather then paying the agreed upon $133, we will pay the full amount of $266. This check will be mailed after we have spoken with [member name removed] regarding our response to his original letter to our company. • We feel very strongly that the price we charged for the waterproofing was more then competitive and reasonable. Any arrangements [member name removed] made with our installer outside the realm of our contract for additional work at reduced price, does not constitute any basis for our pricing being unreasonable. • The terms of the financing agreement between [member name removed] and the lender constitute the full and complete financing arrangement [member name removed] entered into with the third party finance company and there is not bases for refunding interest for delays in installation. • Had [member name removed] brought the parking ticket regarding our trailer, to our attention during the course of the project, we would have been more the happy to pay the ticket. • While we understand that [member name removed] is not pleased with the time frame in which his project was completed, however this is no basis for a "Nuisance Refund". The terms of our contract with [member name removed] does not provide for any such compensation for a customer being annoyed by the fact that there were problems that occurred during the installation. • As for an apology from the president of our franchise, Mr. Geoffrey Bates will contact [member name removed] personally to offer his apology; we can not speak for the Principle Officers of the Owens Corning Corporation. At this time, Mr. Bates has already attempted to reach [member name removed] by telephone in response to his original letter sent to our company. He assures me that he will continue to call [member name removed] until he speaks to him regarding this matter. I would also like to add that while we understand that Angie's List presents itself as an advocate of the consumer, your approach comes across to businesses as more like common blackmail. To threaten that you will use your power of public exposure by publishing your edited versions of a dispute between a consumer and a business unless the business aggress to utilize your method of dispute resolution, compares to the basic blackmail methods used by common criminals.
