Inspection was performed for a new home offer. Leaking oil tank in basement, improper electrical panel, and broken appliance we're all not found. Poor quality and would not recommend.

Assured Inspections were nice at first and we setup a date for a home inspection. I used Assured Inspections based on a friend who used their service. She used them for her home inspection and had bigger problems with her home after the fact then I am going to describe.
Assured Inspections did arrive at the specified time. We went in and did the home inspection..... we spent most the time in the basement and  Assured Inspections did let the water run. However I really wish they ran the washer or added more water. The inspection went fine but I pointed out a water mark in the one bedroom.  Assured Inspections assured me this was an old mark and the roof was newer (12 years old). I pointed out some old pipes but again no issue but one pipe which was replaced. They caught some on boards in the garage that needed to be replaced, however that was really all.
So I move into the house and everything is fine. We moved in on a Friday and did some work over the weekend. By Tuesday we did our first wash and noticed the sewer water coming in from the basement shower. Long story short is the sewer line was cracked and this was not disclosed or found during the home inspection. A month living into the house we get our first real rain (not a terrible amount). Sure enough that water mark in the bedroom was now wet. I had 4 roofers come out and tell me the same thing, the roof was installed wrong. Even though the roof was "newer" it was installed wrong thus causing water to come in. It leaked in various placed too. To a trained inspector they can tell the roof is on wrong because the shingles are not installed correctly and this should have been picked up. So within roughly a month of living in the home I need a new sewer line and roof! The old pipes I pointed out also needed to be replaced. The pipe behind the shower was leaking for awhile and caught with a cooking pan, this was not picked up by Assured Inspections and also needed to be replaced.
I attempted to contact Assured Inspections a few times directly and via my realtor who recommended them along with my friend but no response. I am not in a lawsuit over the house and never a word from Assured Inspections.
It is really ashamed because home inspector are not accountable. PA law says you can only get back what you paid for the home inspection. So between the things I needed to get fixed 15k + the home inspection is approximately $400.00 and that is all they are responsible for. Even the $400.00 was not offered. BEWARE.
