Response to request for an estimate to install a stainless steel chimney liner was prompt and the price was competitive. The installation team, Brian, Tony, and Nick, arrived on time and were very thorough, courteous and professional in completing the job, including replacement of an old chimney cap. They also were meticulous in entering the house, cleaning up after the job was done, and most importantly, in observing all precautionary rules governing safety and social distancing during these challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on my experience, I can recommend this company highly and with confidence.

Company representative came as planned and checked fireplace insert and cleaned areas the owner could not reach. Representative did a neat job.
Owner had intended that company representative would install new glass (which owner had purchased) but company representative said he didn't have time to insert the new glass. Owner should have notified company in advance that insertion of new glass was expected in addition to cleaning the fireplace insert and checking the chimney exhaust.

Main Line Chimney Co gave me a much better price than the other people and they did a good job. Their price was considerably lower than others and everything went great.

We contacted Mainline Chimney after a Mason we found on the list, said that we needed our Chimney sealed, the pointing was fine. Once we called Mainline Chimney, a crew came out within a few days to give us an estimate. We explained that we had a reoccuring leak from our Chimney, within Minutes they determined the problem was that the Crown needed to be resealed along with the rest of the Chimney. We also needed to replace the Galvanized caps with Stainless caps. Mainline Chimney warrantees these for life. We also asked how we keep stink bugs from entering through a seldom used second Chimney. They cusom cut a large bathroom tile to seal off the opening. The roofer we have used "Hynes Roofing" quoted us $1600 to seal both Chimneys this did not include a warranty for the work nor did it include new caps which were $300 of the cost of this Chimney job. The estimate was for sealing our one Chimney, however the technicians did both while they were here for no additional cost.

The night before the job was scheduled I received a friendly reminder call. The next morning the crew arrived right on time. They did the work they had anticipated. There were 3 workmen who came to do the job. They were all very polite. They were clean while they worked in the house, and cleaned up any left over dirt, etc. before leaving. I felt they were careful of the furniture, floor, rugs. They were done in about 1 hour. I was very satisfied with the whole experience. I still haven't lit the fireplace yet, but I feel very confident that it will be fine.

They were excellent. Once they got in the chimney, they discovered thousands of stink bugs and were able to get rid of them. They worked in a timely fashion and the clean up was great.

This is the first time I've had the chimney cleaned and they were very prompt, clean, friendly, and gave us some tips on using the fireplace effectively. I would definitely use them again.

On Saturday Aug. 18 it started to rain. We still had water coming down into the chimney. I called the company three times that day, got a machine, left a messages. No reply. Called Sunday, no reply. Called Monday, got a call back around 8:00 pm from lady who picks up their messages. She said she would leave them a note to call first thing Tuesday morning, they were usually in the office by 7:30 am. No phone call. Called several times Tuesday the 21, no reply. It is still raining and now there is water running out of the bottom of the chimney box, the back side of which is in our garage. There is a stream of water and rust running across the garage floor. Wednesday the 22, several more attempts to reach them. No reply. It is now Thursday the 23, called this morning, got machine, no reply. You might not want to use this company if you value your time and your home.

Initial contact was easy and I had someone to inspect the chimney within about a week in the early part of the heating season. I requested that a quote be expedited to my attention via fax. I had an extremely difficult time getting a hold of someone for quote status which took 4 business days to arrive. I immediately accepted the quote and it took almost another week to schedule the service. The repair required two visits and an extra $200 over the quote, but based on the difficulty of the process, I was not too concerned. Overall, I was pleased by the price and quality of work, but the responsiveness and convenience was lacking.

I had been getting rain and critters in our chimneys. Before the winter I hired Main Line Chimney Company to install chimney caps and also do an inspection. They arrived on time; did the work; and left me with tips for proper fireplace use and a feeling of comfort that I could safely use the fireplaces during the winter months.

We just moved into our home and wanted our chimney cleaned because we had noticed a wood burning smell in our home. 2 men arrived promptly and gave a brief inspection and then cleaned the chimney. They said everything looked fine, however, we thought they cleaned the place a bit too quick. They also told us that the odor was from the back draft and there is nothing we can do about it. The following year we hired a new company (Horvath Chimney Sweep) who did a much thorough job of cleaning and even removed parts in the flute to clean. This company told us that our chimney looked as if it was never cleaned and that was why we were getting that odor. Overall, we were disappointed with Main Line as they seemed to have done a poor, quick job of cleaning our chimney.

We had a few questions about gas fireplaces and it was a bit difficult getting in touch with Main Line Chimney to have our questions answered and get the work scheduled. Once here, though, the workers were professional and did a good job.
