Jim Jacobs was completely skilled, competent, fair and courteous. My pipe sprung a leak at 9:00 on a Friday night. When I tried to shut off the local valve I found that it was broken. I called my regular plumber but he was on vacation. Then I found Jim on Angie's List. He took my call at 9 at night on Friday, even though I was not a customer of his. He told me how to shut off the main water valve for the house, advised me to first fill some jugs with water so we'd have it if needed, and then told me he'd be over at 8:00 the next morning. He arrived promptly as promised and quickly and competently fixed the leak and installed a new, better-quality valve. He also spotted another plumbing problem that was in the making and told me how to avoid it. He spent several hours on a Saturday on an emergency basis, but only charged $215. He could easily have taken advantage of my situation but he was completely fair. I will definitely hire him for my future plumbing needs!

It went terrific.  I would recommend him to anyone.

Jim car, saw the problem was due to the magnets in the cap breaking down. He called the company and had them ship us a free replacement cap. He did not charge for the house call and his time, which was extremely kind of him. The cap came today and indeed the problem is fixed.

He is quite a good plumber and he is very cheerful.
