We thought our problem was solved. But, when taking a long-distance trip about 2 weeks later, the problem resurfaced, and we had to have much additional work done out of state at much additional cost. Our confidence in Tom's Auto Service is a little shaken knowing that our problem was not diagnosed correctly and our trip could have been disasterous. We are very thankful that we were near our destination when the brake overheated the second time.
I must say that Tom's Auto Service did other work for us at other times that we were satisfied with and we would be willing to work with him again.

This is not our first time utilizing the services at Tom's Auto. It is our first time since joining Angie's List. This is a family owned business that still believes in giving customer service. Tom and his son, Mark, are honest mechanics with quite a bit of knowledge. We have been taking our vehicles of various makes to them for about 6 years and are thoroughly pleased with them.
On this instance, I felt that my brakes just didn't feel right. I drive various vehicles so I wasn't sure if it was my vehicle or what. Needless to say, it was the brakes. The work was all completed in one day.
They are not the cheapest around, but they are far from the most expensive either. They will give you a fair deal. If you want the drop dead cheapest go elsewhere. If you want the job done right, so it will last, make an appointment with them. I can't speak highly enough of the service I have received at Tom's Auto over the past 6 years. I was referred to them by a very trusted friend and I am happy to do a favor to others and pass the referral along.
