I enjoy my interaction with Contracting Services, LLC. They where on time, went straight to work and completed the work in no time. Marty was pleasant. I think the price was a little high. I had all the parts and I moved everything for their convenience. Yet, I would use them again. Thanks Marty.

Worked for about an hour and charged $375. I think the price was a little high.
Response from On Call Contracting Serivces, LLC
"Mary was given the price before any work was completed and the price was agreed to. WE SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS EVERY YEAR TRAINING OUR PEOPLE TO DO A GOOD JOB IN AN EFFICIENT MANNER AND TIME FRAME. Apparently we should not be compensated for the time to get the materials, the materials and then of course the time to do the job and clean up afterwards. There were NO complaints on this job and the homeowner was extremely happy that we were able to get out there right away to help her fix her door."

I needed a handyman for a small job. John was able to complete it that night. He was upfront about costs, and his pricing is fair. I will definitely ask him for help in the future.

John came out to my house and gave me a fair estimate faster than I thought was possible. I expanded the scope of the work and he did not complain - rather he told me the price and we were off. John fixed a MAJOR issue with the structure of my home and then, at my request, fixed my entry way in a manner that ensures that the issues don't recur. I was so impressed with John's speed, professionalism, and work quality. He's a rare find.

Contractor was unreliable. Took too much time. Cared much more about money. Future customers should ensure every little thing is agreed in contract. Also closer supervision recommended.
Response from On Call Contracting Serivces, LLC
"We completed their FIRST water damage using insurance costs allowed, we went back to insurance co. To get them additional money as well, and we repaired the plumbing problem for FREE. The hold up came with waiting for custom chosen items to be delivered. 2 weeks after the first water damage was repaired and they wete using their bathroom they had a second leak. They tried to say it was our work but insurance company agreed different area than we worked on and again we went to bat for them 2 get additional funding from ins. Co. They did not want to wait 4approval from ins co and they did not want to pay for work that was necessary so we told them we could not work until we knew who was paying us. If we are such horrible contractors and only about the money, why did they ask us to repair the 2nd loss after it was determined to not be related to the first loss. These people wanted us to work for FREE and we simply do not work unless we know who is paying us."

The overall craftmanship for the entire project was good and the owner is very knowledgeable. From that standpoint, we were satisfied. Here are the issues we have with On Call: - The finishing work took longer than expected and we felt it dragged on towards the end of the job. - We discussed moving a washer and dryer out of our basement to our new laundry room on the first floor several times both prior to and during the project. However, this was still a surprise to On Call in the end and although they moved the washer and dryer, they acted like it was a hassle. - We had a block wall built where the existing garage door used to be. We discussed during the project painting the exterior wall to match the color of the house. Since this wasn't in the "contract" it would be an additional charge whereas this would be considered part of the job? It's finishing the job but it was an additional cost to do so. - In moving the washer and dryer, we also had a sink moved upstairs which they piped for. They had to replace the faucet because it broke and they replaced the four legs on the sink which I'm sure needed to be replaced but again one would think as a customer it would be included in the price of the job. But no, On Call charged us for the faucet and the legs. - When they disconnected the washer and dryer (which was done by one person I might add) they didn't connect or reroute the central air run off so when we turned on the air in the Summer we had water all over the basement. Plain and simple. We felt nickle and dimed throughout this project and quite frankly, their focus was elsewhere towards the end. We've had a major kitchen renovation and basement renovation done in our previous home and never felt this way before. We felt like the owner didn't listen and to his defense maybe we weren't clear enough. Communication on their part was not great. The owner would leave during the day and leave his worker by himself who was waiting on direction from the owner and couldn't get in touch with him so work ceased and this happened a few times. Not sure if it was lack of knowledge from his worker but as the customer, not my problem. There seemed to be a lack of communication or sense of direction between the owner and his staff. Would not recommend nor use in the future.
Response from On Call Contracting Serivces, LLC
"Our contracts are very detailed & specifically say anything add?ll will be charged accordingly. We charged for a new faucet & legs "old & broken", they failed to mention we DID NOT charge for the 1.5 days of labor "due to position in area" it took to move appliances. We didn?t charge for the old broken lines nor for the inspections, though it clearly states H.O. is responsible for payment. Delay was due to H.O. changing throughout job. They were informed immediately when items were ordered & schedules were rearranged so items can be installed when arrived. AC line was placed in their make shift pit , didn't want to pay for proper pit."
