Great!! MGM did a wonderful job, my fireplace has never looked better. And I now have a new remote that works beautifully. My unit is over 20 years old and still works great. He serviced it when others wouldn't. Timely, clean, and friendly. I highly recommend and am thankful that one of my neighbors recommended him to me.

Rick was very professional, methodically reviewed the whole system. Found the issue and repaired the problem. Now it works like new for a couple hundred bucks vs the $2500 we were quoted by other contractors. We were very pleased with the whole experience.

First let me say that I would use this contractor again.

We have a gas fireplace that was not lighting by the remote. We changed the batteries in the remote - it still did not work.

We placed a call to the contractor. He returned out call a few hours later. He quickly scheduled our service call for 3 days later.

The contractor came out and cleaned the unit very nicely. We were told they would do a full servicing of the unit including cleaning of the "logs". My elderly father said the contractor was professional and respectful. That means a lot to me and my family.

My only complaint is that if they were doing a full service on the unit, they would have changed all of the batteries. Apparently there were batteries in the back of the unit that we did not know about. And that caused the fireplace not to light correctly. However, when we placed a follow-up call with the contractor (on a Sunday night) he immediately called back.

With his guidance, we were able to replace the batteries and get the unit in fine working order.  We appreciate his quick response!

I have used Rick for about 2 years after unsuccessfully trying to get the company that sold me the fireplace to come out for service. Rick was close to my area and I like to support local merchants and so, without checking references or reviews, I called him. He was knowledgeable about the mfr of my fireplace, responsive, polite and flexible with his schedule. If I had known about him  sooner, I would have gotten my fireplace from him! He is careful about my home and furnishings and my dog & cats love him.

I have used Rick for over 25 years and would never consider calling anyone else.  Honest, prompt service, professional, fair prices and close attention to the slightest detail, a rare breed these days.  You will never be sold anything you don't need.  Cannot recommend more highly.

Rick is the owner and the tech who makes the house calls.  We have been having him service our gas fireplace for about 5+ years and have been completely satisfied with all aspects of his service.  He is thorough, punctual, actually returns calls in a timely fashion (we've all experienced those people who just don't call us back, haven't we!!), and is very pleasant during the course of the service call.  We would highly recommend Rick for this service and will continue to have him do our work in the future.

They fixed everything. My overall experience was an A. They were a little slow responding to my request. It is just one guy. There are not many of these guys around.

WHEN RICK (RICHARD SZLACHTA) CAME TO DO THE SERVICE, HE WAS TO JUST CLEAN THE GAS FIREPLACES. HOWEVER, WHEN HE BEGAN TO WORK ON THE ONE HE NOTICED THE SMELL OF GAS. WHEN HE TESTED THE FIREPLACE, DISCOVERED A LEAK. HE NOT ONLY CLEANED THE FIREPLACE BUT WENT ON TO FIX THE HOSE ATTACHMENT, WHICH IS WHERE THE LEAK WAS COMING FROM. HE WAS PROMPT, COURTEOUS, NEAT. SPREADS OUT BLANKET TO PROTECT THE FLOOR AND IMMEDIATE AREA WHERE HE IS WORKING.

RIC OF MAPLE GLEN MECHANICAL WAS ON TIME, POLITE, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HAD SO MUCH CONCERN FOR OUR PROBLEM. WE WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM.
