Guardian Roofing

I am completely disappointed with the quality of work this company did. I had expensive gutter guard installed several years prior to the roofing replacement. Care was not taken to remove the guard during the project. In fact, the guard was removed from my property and I had to call to have them return it and replace it. Most of the replacement was done after dark using only a headlamp. The results are terrible and portions of gutter guard are now non-functional. There were other small problems also. I have called and left multiple messages with Kirk and none have been returned. If you were considering hiring this company, please contact me.

Kirk Zimmerman and his full-time crew from Guardian Roofing installed a new roof on our home, porch, garage, and shed (in State College) in September of 2017. They arrived by 7am each day, worked non-stop for four days during some of the hottest weather of the summer/fall, and they did a great job. Kirk was at the job all four days, explained in detail everything that they were doing, and showed us pictures when needed. (My husband and I tend to ask a lot of questions.) Everyone on the crew was courteous, helpful, and focused on their work, and they did an excellent job cleaning up at the end of the day and after the job was completed. The bid price on the job was $16,850 with some additional charges because of a problem with the wood on the porch. We have a 25-year warranty on the Owens-Corning shingles and roofing materials and a 10-year warranty on workmanship, since Kirk is a preferred contractor for O-C products. He also installs other types of shingles (and can offer a longer workmanship warranty with some of those), but we requested Owens-Corning. As already noted, Kirk was on the job every day, but it was also easy to contact him during the bidding process thanks to his office manager, Lorrie, who is also very helpful. We recommend Guardian Roofing.

Kirk and his crew take their craft seriously. They don't cut corners and they make things right when other builders have left things wrong. If you're in the market with roofing needs, then give Kirk a call.

Kirk and his crew were EXCELLENT!! They came ahead of schedule, worked hard and cleaned up beautifully, price was awesome for the job done. Professional in manner as well as workmanship. I appreciate knowing there are still very decent, honest and hard working providers you can depend on.

Truly, one of the best experiences I've ever had with a contractor. Kirk was so professional from the very first meeting. Very particular, meticulous, detail-oriented, and organized. It was no surprise his crew was as nice as him and so polite and friendly. They did an exceptional job that turned out beautifully and were so neat and tidy. Kirk stopped often to check on the project which took half the time I thought it would and we were fearful we wouldn't find anyone who would be anxious to work on the roof as high of a pitch as it has (turns out, it was cake to Kirk, who has a passion for skydiving! ha!) Aside from the gorgeous new roof, it would have been hard to tell they had even been there! It is clear Kirk takes great pride in his work and it shines through. His work is guaranteed and his pricing is extremely reasonable and competitive. I wouldn't hesitate recommending him. And, that is rare these days. Wish more people were like him. - Amy
