We contracted with New Angle Design (Ruth) and Snyder Remodeling (Mike) to have them transform our kitchen from a dated, 1980s style, non functional space into a beautiful, functional and modern space that we love and cherish!
It was a large project that involved a complete remodel of our kitchen and breakfast area. The earliest design concept talks were held with Ruth in late April and the project was completed to our utmost satisfaction by Mike and his team by late July.
My wife and I are professionals; we are extremely nitpicky and quite a pain to work with if things aren't done to our complete satisfaction. However we strangely seemed to work really well together and overcame all obstacles to jointly deliver a terrific end product.
I wish I could post and quot;beforeand quot; and and quot;afterand quot; pictures to let you all judge the quality of the work!
The real problem with Ruth is her attitude. Whenever she was present which was few and far between she was arrogant and dismissive of our ideas and concerns. She did not take responsibility for the things that went wrong but was always quick to point out that she was losing money in the process. She was not responsive to us or our contractor in a timely manner. Not polite, timely in her correspondence or professional.
"I am saddened by these comments: 1- I would Never ever call anyones cabinets pathetic. In one of my emails to Pamela I advised her to keep the doors. I thought it was a more expensive idea than I expected and that reusing her old ones would be fine. 2- in another email I suggest moving their existing doors around and adding drawers in one place so the units are more balanced. Why would I suggest re- using Pathetic doors? 3- I have NEVER considered any job too small and would never say I have "wasted my time" 4- I fully refunded the money for the doors that the manufacturer sent in the wrong color. 5- I tried to get our cabinet maker to redo them, but he said going over a finish would not hold up in the long run 6- Both the contractor and I tried to get another cabinet maker there to redo the doors, but they did not feel they could Match the doors either to the existing frames because the cabinets were about 8-10 years old 7- I HAVE NEVER EVER STATED TO A CLIENT THAT I AM LOSING MONEY! I refunded their money graciously and apologized. She was mad because we could not find anyone to replace 8 doors, but we put her old doors back on. 8- There are at least 26 emails between us where she never states that she is upset, I have one email that I will be glad to forward anyone, that would like to read it, where I am Groveling asking for forgiveness with apologies to her! 9- The contractor is still working with me and yes both of us were frustrated that we could not get the 8 doors made for her correctly, but we did reuse the old doors and I did advise her to do that from the beginning. I NEVER EVER CALLED HER OR HER DOORS PATHETIC. 10- If anyone would like at least 20 referrals from our clients that have worked with us extensively, please let me know. 11- [removed member name], if you are reading this, I truly do apologize for the inconvenience with these 8 doors, thank you for being truthful about the hickory cabinets and doors. Ruth"
