Our experience with this appraisal service was good.  We have also had good experiences with Gelman.

The agent was polite in the beginning, but caused a lot of difficulty during the process. In regard to the purchase of the new house, the agent suggested a higher offering price than had been discussed originally. Further, the offer was contingent on the sale of the current home (this will be more important later). Through the remainder of the process, the agent did not appear to act in the best interest of the buyers and argued with the buyers at times. Futher, at the close of the purchasing house, the seller was not out of the house and the agent did not offer any substantial assistance to remedy the problem. In regard to the sale of the house, the house was appraised at $10,000 less than the offer price. This was after the agent gave us her assurance the house would appraise at the listing price. This therefore also affected the offer we put on the house we purchased. If it was known the property was not going to appraise, the offer price on the home purchased would have been less. Finally, throughout the entire process, the agent would take days and would sometimes have to be contacted twice before she was heard from again.
